This looks exactly like my saw.
Mine isn't oiling either and I suspect a broken line in the oil tank.

Many thanks doublewide6 for this video.
I have the same problem w/ my McCulloch 3216 not supplying oil to the chain.
I followed your instruction, and it's working again.
I also replaced all the fuel lines as they were brittle from age & the crappy 10% ethanol gas that's only available today.
    Have a great day!

Heat and ethanol will destroy those tygon fuel lines like no tomorrow!

Good video, I have the 2014 eager beaver saw and could not find a good video on the oil tank, I had a bad leak. But thanks to your video I found out what was wrong.

that's just so weird, I got a bunch of mccullochs saws. and the little one 3214 I changed the clutch gear, and new chain and bar, the fuel lines were toast so I changed those, and the oiler is working but kind of weak and bar oil leaks around the bottom. So went on youtube to see if I could find where the oil pump is. This video was the one to do the trick, at the same strange time, the kill button only works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't at all. This video is the one!

Hi, thanks for the video, I've been searching the web for info on the oiler and where it is on the mac cat 389. This helped a lot.

Timber Wolf is correct, you explained the coil issue exactly in reverse. The spade lug on the coil should connect to the coil inside, not the ground.

beechwood619 Thanks for the tip. I usually don't check coils with a multimeter (either there is spark or there is not). This coil has spark, so I put the multimeter to it since it would not kill. Sounds like I may have been testing wrong with the meter. The kill wire goes to the switch and the switch goes to ground. I have continuity through all wires and the switch, so I don't know why it is not killing the engine. Any ideas?

I Microwaved the lines for 10 seconds, they came out like spaghetti. Slipped right through the hole and right on to the fitting. Careful you don't burn them up 5-10 seconds in the Microwave is plenty.

First thing is does the saw have spark? Does the saw have compression? Id the fuel making it from the tank into the carburetor?

If the kill wire is connected to the grounded screws what is the other side of the kill switch connected to? is it possible that's backwards?

I have no luck with these saws. Coils, carbs, constantly repairing mine to the point where I spend more time repairing them than cutting wood. Should have just bought a stihl from the get go.
