I have read this book from cover to cover, and let me tell you...this works like a dream. The focus is not really on the child, but on the adult. I realized I was doing everything wrong and tried his techniques. I don't have everything 100% perfect yet, but I have seen a DRAMATIC change over the past week...granted, my child didn't need a complete overhaul. If you are married, be sure that that your significant other reads the book too. This won't work unless both parents make adjustments!

I worked as a Pediatric Nurse for many years. You have to get those kids under control, way before age two. I have seen so many kids in control and it doesn't get better.

If my parents stopped engaging in my life and walked away from me every time they spoke to me I would feel unloved and unimportant.

day 1 say it once turn your back and walk away 2. do not ask questions
Do not treat children like they are the center of the universe. If they are the center of their universe, then God is not.

Had to laugh, he was talking about getting little Fletcher's attention...I originally bought this book for my 11 year old Fletcher :)

@davinci5152 It's really strange that you focus on that, he was joking and I think making some undercover point,he has been on this show a few times and if they really felt that way they would not invite him back. I believe he has very valid points about raising kids and he cant be that wrong, look at his own kids, the proof is in how they are today or in the pudding if you prefer.
