Great video! Looking at Epic and Epic Evo right now, and thinking about a 2020 S-Works Epic on sale, so it's good to hear about the strengths and weaknesses of the new and old Epic.
My 19' brain fail in 3 months with almost no use, hope specialized improved on the 2021... Anyway the step angle handling is gonna be harder specially at tight corners. But will help descending you can't have the cake and eat it too...
I bought the new epic 2021 13 months ago, after two months oozing oil from the brain tube, 2 weeks without a bike while on vacation ... after another 10 months same problem in the top of the tube ... a real shit
Thanks so much, I can possibly make one of those, I sell both those brands and the bikes are very popular and usually when my customer has rode the epic for 3 years or so they will switch back and forth both great bikes
@@GCPerformance18 Thanks. Pink Bike recently did an XC field test. But viewers kept pointing out in the comments that without the Spark included it missed a massive opportunity.
Both nice bikes probably lean towards the 2021 Epic or Epic Evo as no Brain.... Only thing not sure on sizing now as none around where I live to try. Happy Riding 😊👍🏼
after 4 month on new Epic i feel sometimes still the rear suspension become "soft" and let me check if i got flat tyre or so...i dont know why that happen..
yea thats the biggest thing I can say is that new brain doesnt feel as cheap as the new one, they made it feel more reliable and doesnt feel like your going to push through the platform on every little bump

Love that new s works mat green chameleon paint color!
Same here..... big fan
I wished they gave it a high gloss finish to make the effect pop
@@CarsandBikes that would be sick, you know you can buy graphics for the logo to change the colors in like a whole kit I think its like 150
@@GCPerformance18 Imagine the green pain with yellow logo.
Great video .. I prefer the new Epic 2021! could you compare the new Epic and Epic Evo?
Yea I can do one for sure

Very informative! Thanks How about an Epic vs Spark RC comparison? I'm torn between the two.

Rich Cole I will do my best for you 😁
2021 looks way better. That alone adds 30 watts.

the evo is amazing!!!! thats my bike the same too
@@GCPerformance18 ya awesome what size are you riding and what is your height if you don't mind me asking? Thanks
Hi!! Great Vídeo!! I have a epic 2017...I was thinking to buy a epic 2021, do you thing it´s worth it the change? Thanks..
If you have the budget I do think it’s worth it. But if you have to
Stress about it. Don’t worry about it

get thta checked at the dealer again, but also sometimes if you hit a hard enough bump the shock will go soft for sure
The big difference here in Australia is the markup Specialized puts on their bikes. 20K AUD for the new one which is 15.5KUSD.
I have the 2020 epic evo and the 2021 epic expert. I have only done 3 rides on the new bike but new brain is more firm and less clunky.

@@GCPerformance18 Just wait a few months.. problems will star rising.. as always
@@manuelrabelo6780 yea i hope making the rear brain bigger it helps with those issues
Great video.. love the epic but the brain system is trash.. based on my own experience
Yea the new one hopefully fixes it if not, they need to go back to fox with the brain
Actually, Epic is a subscription-based bike. I really doubt they would kill the goose that lays the golden egg.
I’ve had zero problems with Fox rear brains on my epics up to 2017. The brain 2.0 from rockshox (2018-2020) apparently was problematic.
