Have you tried a Boa ski boot what do you think?

I’ve just got the Salomon S/Pro Supra Boa 120. It immediately feels comfortable, the Boa system is simple to use and does give an all encompassing foot hold. The flex is spot on for me and I can feel a bigger range of movement than my old Lange SX120. I’m using my old footbed and avoiding heat moulding at the moment because it seems to fit so well out of the box, but with more time on the slopes I’ll evaluate that later. So overall really pleased with boot and foot hold from the boa system.

With the new sole, is it not replaceable then? That could present a wide variety of issues for a lot of skiers.

That's a good question and one we wanted to find out for ourselves, as on our boot the toe area is already wearing after only 3 months of usage. And once it's gone that could leave the boot redundant if not changable. We will get back to you once we speak to Atomic.

      Here you go....
Like many touring boots, Hawx Ultra XTD utilizes a glued-on sole and it is replaceable.
While replaceable, it is a much more involved process than simply removing a few screws; glued-on soles require finding a shoemaker or cobbler to perform the replacement- your typical ski shop cannot do this. Shops that specialize in resoling rubber soles (touring boots, tele boots, mountaineering boots, etc.) have the glues, primers, and presses to complete the job.
