He respected Hunt for his determination to be the best as that's what motivated Lauda too.

Came to watch this after the news of Lauda's passing. Now they're racing against each other again in heaven. May both their souls rest in peace.

I love that very last shot of the flim with the Ferrari and the McLaren side by side a brilliant ending to wounderful flim
One of the best formula one racing movies of all time and the ending made me sad but didn't make me cry but I wish it did
stuck emotions,probably. there are some good videos on youtube that will loosen that.
And what makes it even better is the fact that it is based on real events
tears formed.
Niki's "He's remains the only person, I envied" gives me chills everytime I hear it. Its because of the fact that even a guy like Niki, he respected Hunt, which is something you would not expect on a guy like him.
Daniel did Niki justice in this movie. His portrayal was perfect. RIP Niki.

This movie was extremely underrated in my opinion. It does have some of the best lines of any movie that year.

This story gave me chills. Just such a great example of two very different people with one common goal. That goal brought them together.

Two legends respecting each other. Wish Hunt would have continued that rivalry but he proved everyone wrong and it is something everyone wants to do and walk away with your head held high. What a guy. What a movie. Loved it loved it loved it. Rewatched it so many times.
Ron Howard did an amazing work he should have won an Oscar for Rush with all the actors

So underrated movie...
The great thing about a scene like this with personalities like Hunt and Lauda is that while being polar opposites, both are correct. You need to reduce risk, but reward comes from the risk. Also, you should be devoted to your craft, but don’t make it your sole pursuit. You should find time to enjoy life with the people you love and build a family.

I've been an F1 fan since I was a toddler in 1999 - when my gf was new to F1 and I showed her this film, she was so shocked when it showed the real images of them and realised this was a real story. The best stories are the ones that play out in sport
This movie did the impossible for me - I am not a sport fan and therefore quite picky about sport-themed films, but this one was really worth watching.

Have watched this movie countless of time. But this scene always brings me to the verge of tears
Please, dont judge me now on this; one day a year ago... I was so so so so sad... because of woman... ha!, and I sat into my car which is strong, not amongst strongest but... strong (220hp Volvo), and started this MUSIC THIS ONE IN MY CAR while on highway... I dont know what I was thinking exactly, I just... tears were dropping from my eyes (my life and this scene were going trough my eyes)... and I was just going faster and faster... and faster...and I realized I am somewhere... beyond words with this music and tears in my eyes :( ... then I remembered I have a child who I love more than anything, and stoped the car. Niki, Senna, Hunt... RIP.

Best f1 film
This was a lesson of racing I had a terrible time teaching some students in drivers school. They were in low budget cars, their skills were so-so, they had no real money, and they had nothing to offer sponsors, but they seemed to think that drivers school, and later regional racing, was the ticket to stardom. I tried to teach them it is about fun. It is about learning. If you want stardom, you have to move quickly through the National racing classes and move to Pro. And by the late '80s and '90s, that took cubic dollars, not inches. If you aren't having fun, then what is the point?
The funny thing is , the moment that Niki talks about the pumping of shit out of his longs, James inhales tabacco. That's irony right there.
This is how people used to be sporty in olden days or so called 20th century and now in 21st century people just killing others and chilling themselves, huhhhhhhh

Imagine their fans fighting each other yet..
Imagine working hard all your life to excel, driving yourself to exploit every ounce of talent from your body and mind...
...and somebody else can do it intuitively, does it by feel, and can enjoy life while doing it.
THAT is what Lauda is talking about when he talks about James vs his own self. Nikki will always be a better world champion...but was he a happier man?
And that's the thing with life. We are all different. We each have different skills and abilities and that comes out in our personalities.
