In his live shows he prefaced that he heard this David Bowie song in a dream only to wake up and realize it didn't exist and scramble to write it down. Knowing that adds a really awesome dimension to the song I think. Definitely feels like it could be a B-side from Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
No fucking way, dude! When was this show?? I have been trying to figure out why this sounds so much like Ziggy Stardust and couldn't put my finger on it. What a cool origin story for a song, thanks for sharing
@@MaxToddUniverse The Louisville show at Old Forester's Paristown Hall, it was a great show. He's also done a couple great Bowie covers if you look for them
Can't wait to see you at Lincoln Hill!!! I'm top listener on Spotify but unfortunately can't get the special record because I'm coming to see you live and don't have the funds for both but seeing you live in the flesh will be so much better, a memory to hold in my mind forever
It's new, it's different. Auditory memory recalls: late career Chris Cornell, Radiohead and Randy Newman. More early 1990s alt than alt country. That's ok, because I recently hit the Colter Wall and that country internal venue is well supplied with his work and your back catalog. Good luck with the new direction.
Big In The World / Lyrics I thought sweetly of my empty gun Without me it couldn't hurt no one But we both kill to have a little fun Wondering why I gotta be somebody's enemy To be big in the world I thought sweetly of my sanity And how it always gets away from me It seemed a lot cooler on the MTV Wondering why I gotta be somebody's tragedy To be big in the world I don't believe in anything Yeah, God forbid it comes true If you believe in anything Then I've got something for you But I've got nothing for the president And nothing followed him everywhere he went What a lonely way to pay the rent Wondering why I gotta be somebody's candidate To be big in the world I don't believe in everything Yeah, God forbid it comes true If you believe in anything Then I've got something for you If you question every moment in time And every answer leaves you wondering why You gotta be somebody's anything Yeah, why you gotta be somebody's anything Why you gotta be somebody's anything To be big in the world
¡Ahuevo! FYI you can hear another one of his new songs here from when he was recently at Red Rocks. Its the second song he plays called "Limbo" ruclips.net/video/TNaZ4uQLgdw/видео.html

Back during the 2021 streams the coda's lyrics were: "If you count the minutes in the passing of time If you ask/know the questions but can't handle the why" Gotta love being able to see his songs progress ❤️
I love his one man band stuff. Definitely my favorite, but I think it's awesome he is exploring his artistic capabilities and branching out. I think someday he will do another one man band album years down the line.
You are big in my world already and forever
It is a privilege to experience your artistic evolution! Great music!👏👏👏
This song is a trip.

Big In The World
/
Lyrics
I thought sweetly of my empty gun
Without me it couldn't hurt no one
But we both kill to have a little fun
Wondering why I gotta be somebody's enemy
To be big in the world
I thought sweetly of my sanity
And how it always gets away from me
It seemed a lot cooler on the MTV
Wondering why I gotta be somebody's tragedy
To be big in the world
I don't believe in anything
Yeah, God forbid it comes true
If you believe in anything
Then I've got something for you
But I've got nothing for the president
And nothing followed him everywhere he went
What a lonely way to pay the rent
Wondering why I gotta be somebody's candidate
To be big in the world
I don't believe in everything
Yeah, God forbid it comes true
If you believe in anything
Then I've got something for you
If you question every moment in time
And every answer leaves you wondering why
You gotta be somebody's anything
Yeah, why you gotta be somebody's anything
Why you gotta be somebody's anything
To be big in the world
Why I gotta be someones candidate?????????
¡Ahuevo!

Save the elephant
Missing the old shaky, just a man and he’s guitar
Not digging the new style...
