well to be fair there's less than ten years between someone aged 19 and someone age 25/26 so pretty much the same look. It's only when you're in your 30's that the age gap can be noticed. e.g. someone aged 31 and someone aged 37 generally look different
Lucy Avarda but for some reason mostly l can tell the difference between a 18/19 year old and a 25/26 year old, but in this case i could not just for the reason that she has a really young little face still .
I only like my shrinkage when I get my hair straighten and see my hair revert back. That means I successfully avoided heat damage 💃🏾💃🏾. But when I get my hair braided shrinkage is not what I want. Because the person braiding my hair ended up ripping my hair apart and that is not what we want
When I get my braids done, I blow dry my own hair for exactly that reason. I dont need you ripping through my naps. That aint what I paid $150 for lol.
Briana Oliver I don’t pay that much to get my hot done, I pay only 30 dollars maybe cuz I don’t use extensions. I braid with just my hair but still even with extensions I feel 150 dollars is a lot 😱
Astro Chillin I don’t blow dry my hair cuz I don’t want to use direct heat I do braid my up into six sections immediately right after I moisturize my hair.
Tbh the fact coily hair is so curly it creates the illusion of thicker hair. Add in shrinkage and you have big hair that's versatile. Literally. It's the only hair type that can mimic others. Now it’s more like 30-40% since it’s gotten longer. I had/have a hard time with shrinkage. I couldn’t imagine how hard it must be for 4 type black ppl. Flaxseed gel and smallish sized twists doing my 4c hair good sis. Going on 4 weeks!! Taking down this weekend. I moisturized with aloe vera gel, caster oil on length, and added more gel on top. When I wet the gel it made my twists sooooooooooo moisturized. Very set it and forget it style and not a ton of strinkage after the gel. What strinkage I did get I could get rid of with a semi-high ponytail.
Even though my hair is bra strap length, shrinkage doesn’t bother me. I like to tell people I cut my hair, then stretch one of my curls and say “SIKE!”
I don't have your hair type but I enjoyed watching this video. I love watching you guys do hair. I am a black girl but my hair is a throw back of some indian ancestors so it can't even be called curly, it's long and wavy but funnily enough when wet becomes luscious curls that shrink up to just past my shoulders. This is the first video I've seen of yours and girl, I'm already in love. You're so funny and have such a radiant energy, I literally can't stop smiling ♥️ I'm probably the whitest chick out there and I know my relationship with my hair is nowhere near the same as that belonging to PoC, but I've struggled with liking it for pretty much my whole life. I have a mixture of 3a and 3b and even though that's far from kinky, the amount of shrinkage I have always gets to me because I somehow got it into my head that long hair = beautiful and anything above your collarbone isn't. But hearing your perspective on your relationship with your hair and reading comments from so many other wonderful women owning their crowns has made me look at my hair in a different light - curly is beautiful! Kinky is beautiful! Thank you for helping me to realise that ♥️
I literally only clicked on this because I was scrolling through and your eyes were like "HEY!" And then I ended up watching the whole thing, lol. Keep up the amazingness!
I literally found out about my hair texture like less than a year ago. I literally know nothing about hair. I'm glad no one snatched my black card yet. I learn so much from your videos tho😂💕
We gotta accept it we can't change it. All the wigs in the world it ain't gonna change. Literally sometimes i have to check myself about this! It's gonna be the same hair on my head till the day i die i gotta work with it bot against it. Really glad i found your videos 😃
OMG I LOVE YOU. I am a white girl who just casually enjoys hair videos, and tbh you've got a subscriber because your personality is on POINT and editing is incredible
I’ve got really straight hair, I think it’s classified as 1b, and my hair is kind of just a lifeless, thin sheet of paper, but you’ve definitely inspired me to love my little straw head of hair again! I think we should love the things about us that we have no ability to change. My mom use to perm my hair into tight little Shirley temple curls when I was little and I couldn’t stand it, and neither could my poor hair, lol. I had no idea black girls had to deal with their hair shrinking and not holding length, but it’s so awesome seeing you embrace yourself and your natural hair ❤️

Thank you for helping me to realise that ♥️
I love your big eyes😍
I know, right? In her thumbnails, her eyes look almost animé 😳
I literally only clicked on this because I was scrolling through and your eyes were like "HEY!" And then I ended up watching the whole thing, lol. Keep up the amazingness!
Great Video!! Would you ever consider doing a Wash n’ go to show off those coils and that shrinkage?
You know what, I’ve been working up the courage to do just that. Soon. Soooon.
Oh my goodness I love you! You are literally my spirit animal.
Omg this girl...😂 that kick
I have tried liking this video about 6 times, no lie. I keep scrolling down to hit the thumbs up after another funny/relatable/impressed moment.
was just wondering when was she gonna posssttt.
I literally found out about my hair texture like less than a year ago. I literally know nothing about hair. I'm glad no one snatched my black card yet. I learn so much from your videos tho😂💕
Your eyes are so big and pretty 😍😍😍😍😍
We gotta accept it we can't change it. All the wigs in the world it ain't gonna change. Literally sometimes i have to check myself about this! It's gonna be the same hair on my head till the day i die i gotta work with it bot against it. Really glad i found your videos 😃
your eyes are so big and brown and i want to steal them.
_that was weird i just rlly like ur eyes ok bye_
Okay who are you and where have you been all my 4c magical black girl life??? Because 4 seconds in we was already vibing and I was already subscribing
My hair name is Meatball and in my head Fluff Nugget and him are best friends...
YUP. I friend-SHIP this.
OMG I LOVE YOU. I am a white girl who just casually enjoys hair videos, and tbh you've got a subscriber because your personality is on POINT and editing is incredible
I love my shrinkage, lol. I have 4b hair and literally only do wash and gos.
Same!
You are so adorable! And that wisdom tidbit was spot on. God bless you, love your energy :)
Im 85% shrinkage girl
I’ve got really straight hair, I think it’s classified as 1b, and my hair is kind of just a lifeless, thin sheet of paper, but you’ve definitely inspired me to love my little straw head of hair again! I think we should love the things about us that we have no ability to change. My mom use to perm my hair into tight little Shirley temple curls when I was little and I couldn’t stand it, and neither could my poor hair, lol. I had no idea black girls had to deal with their hair shrinking and not holding length, but it’s so awesome seeing you embrace yourself and your natural hair ❤️
Honestly shrinkage is like an inside joke with your best friend, and other people are hating on you because they want in on the joke, but too baaad. We're not telling you!
Bruh no one wants shrinkage lol dont think people are jealous of u
Great video. Casually clicked. Night casually made. Love everything about this, you, your personality!
When you learn to relinquish control, eventually she'll bow to you
Ebizzill I felt that. The momentt I let my hair do its thing, and gave it what it wanted it acknowledged me as its equal XD
I'm so glad I found your RUclips channel!!! You're personality is amazing
