Sableye is one of my favorite Pokemon. Back when I originally played Pokemon Emerald it stayed on my team for the whole run.

Goldeen and Slugma are leagues above Sunkern. So much so that I'm sure Sunkern is a trap for people who believe that type advantage against the first gym actually matters.
You definitely made the right choice with Goldeen.
Huh, fair. I mean honestly I was speaking with no experience with the rom hack so good to know I made the correct choice
Sunkern can have its uses too, I picked one as my Starter when I hardcore nuzlocked this, though I did have to box the thing for a lot of the run. Mine swept Roxanne, dealt with some of Brawly's Trainers, then got put in the box. I evolved him with a Sun Stone at Mossdeep City and he swept Juan and Phoebe with Sunny Day, Synthesis, Growth and Solarbeam. He even put in some work against Wallace's Milotic. It's a shame to not have your Starter through so much of the run, but he was far from useless towards the end of the game for me.

@@elirantuil5003 That doesn't matter dude. Lol. That's the trap, and you fell for it even after I pointed it out.
It's absolutely worthless after Roxanne, and you can reset and attempt Roxanne as many times as you like while picking the other starters if you REALLY struggle against the easiest gym in the game.
Slugma and Goldeen are strictly better options.
Nah Slugma is garbage too, not as bad as sunkern but it's still terrible, it has awful stat, although it has 70 of sp atk for whatever reason, but its main move is going to be ember for quite some time, it's slow and frail, it can't use its rock stab because of it's terrible attack so to get a good move you have to wait until level 36 where it learns flamethrower and it evolves at level 38 but as soon as it evolves into magcargo it unfortunately gains the rock type just as you srart unlocking acquatic routes, now you may be thinking that it has good TM coverage but it only gets physical moves and it has 50 of attack

I say the Machop line isn’t trash it pretty much okay but I wouldn’t call it trash
Its OK, I find it hard use though because it's slow and not very bulky
When you can only get Machoke, it's pretty bad. Machamp is obviously awesome.
Surprised Cacturne was left in, 115 in both Atk & SpAtk is decent for a playthrough

Did you ban setup moves? I see that you did not do any setup despite having a minum to enable your setup sweeper.
I allow them for some runs, but for this one and others I do ban them. They can make things a bit to easy sometimes

@@psyduckspice I've seen 5 videos on the rom, 3 picked Sunkern then dropped it after the fist gym, 1 picked Slugma and then you picked Goldeen 😄
@@psyduckspice Most I've seen pick Sunkern cause it actually learns grass moves to kick Roxannes ass
Sunkern is a trap.
It's easily the worst starter choice in the long run, and you can retry Roxanne as many times as you like with the other 2 because she's the very first gym.
@@Vesdus Never seen the using it after Roxanne. But Slugma with the water weakness and Goldeeen without water moves... I dont really know which one is worse xd

Couple pokemon like that tbf, I just assume they left a couple of half decent pokemon in
Pelipper only became good from gen 7 onw after getting the drizzle ability. Before that it was just a trash version of gyarados
