A lot of Goodness! Busy guy for sure! It’s good you’re staying busy! Don’t worry about getting it done right away. Do what you can and let it go. You’ll be okay! Great video!
I understand, I am a small business owner, and lately, I have been going home as soon as I make enough for the day, and I send my crew home. I can work around the clock and make more money, but I'm not motivated. Watching your video is a wake-up call to me. Mike, we are blessed!! We work for ourselves. Your health is good, your family is good. We have opportunities that many people would kill for. We need to be more grateful for these blessings, and this is the time we need to work our hardest. A bad time is around the corner. They always are!! We need to encourage each other. Let's make a game of making extra money!! Let's set some short-term goals and rewards ourselves when we make our goals!! I can tell you take care of your help because they love you! Give them more to do for you with a bonus for them. I hope you feel better. Love your channel, not selling anything, no politics, just an honest man sharing his life. Thanks, and God bless you. Lou
I just checked with my yard last week to verify pricing before I haul in my next big load. No price drop here...still maintaining my price of $140/ton. I figure at some point this later week I'll have another 10k lb load ready. I just scored a 99 F150 stuffed with scrap and a farm wagon running gear too for $160 so thats a nice chunk of weight there. Plus its a 4 cat system. All my dumpsters are full from people dropping scrap off as well. Looking forward to that haul in. Keep up the great work Mike! Still enjoying your vids!
Being self employed is brutal. I own a music school so that’s only afternoons and I’m up every day at 5 scrapping- it never ends. You’re lucky to have work. Scrapping is not for the faint of heart
If I lived where you do my yard would look like yours, but I live in a residential area where there is houses all around and they love passing out fines from messy yards around here
Yeah, that's one thing I don't have to worry about.. People are nosy, but we live I live in a very rural area.Tell me aboutI live in a very rural area.
Wait til your my age... It gets harder and harder! Just remember you could be punching a clock. Exchanging your time for money and putting up with all the bull that come with it.
Treadmills have a good motor to pop off. Motor ranges from 20 to 40ish pounders from my exp Last two I got had two British made motors that weighted in 39 pounds each. Atm I get 35c a pound for elc motors now cause copper dropped to 4.50 a pound for number 2 here in Nova Scotia
@@Adventureswithmike1 Thanks!! She is slowly on the mend. I am still waiting for test results. Whatever it is has zapped the ambition and energy right outta me. Better days ahead 🙂
Very happy to hear that you are finishing up with that house, it showed on you in your videos that it did take a toll on you. Looking forward to the next video but if you are too busy to film and edit then don't worry about us, focus on you and your family to ensure they are comfortable, and you aren't running in front of the train on finances. Best to focus on the stuff that's making the serious money and pursue side projects when things are more stable.
I mostly scrap by myself every once in a while, I’ll have somebody help me pick up one of my honey holes because it’s a lot of metal other than that I work alone I don’t like paying anybody
Hey Mike, I know life can be hard and life can be busy, I do my best to give it all to Jesus, takes away the heaviness. On another note, how is your daughter doing?
@@michaelphillipsBoogie1 I only take off any brass or copper pipes that are on.. There is no other copper in water heaters. The elements are not worth the time to play with
I use 2x4 as the posts. In two by sixes, they're just screwed together and in the steak pockets of the trailer.. I just use high quality Deck screws And lag bolts.. They get broken a lot.But they're easy to replace and fix
No, you don't, but a lot of my business comes from facebook.. Post, in some of your local groups that you pick up scrap metal, you will end up getting a lot of calls.People always have something they need to get rid of
Im investing in the new truck!! Ha Ha. Dedicate a mile to me!! Ha ha Thanks!

Amazing job my friend. Amazing job. You are a hard-working man.

I'd be curious to see how you got the boards secured for the landscape trailer... Specifically the 4*4 posts... I'm assuming metal bolts?
