I am so obsessed with this song. The two being's fighting, their origin, how they have different natural elements but are similar through the destruction they caused.
Just Imagine that Iblis come BACK to life and existence,so He is gonna kill Sonic and his friends,but suddenly,Chaos appeared from the Master Emerald without Breaking It,this time he dont have Anymore hate,so he is gonna buy time to Sonic to find some way to defeat him definitively

***** Yeah you are right, Probably Mephiles Survived the Final Battle as simple Dark Materie/Dark Matery, and then he reincarnated into the Time Eater

But it's probably true, the are basically same in terms of Colors, also as you Know, You can Defeat Mephiles and Iblis, But is impossible to Destroy Solaris, only stop its counciness/mind (I don't know how it's sayed), also I have the theory that After all The Final Battle For the Entire TimeLine of the Universe, That Flame that Elise was handling, it haved the power to erase all things that happened before Solaris 's Defeat, so Mephiles and Iblis doesn't existed.....
But I think that something wrong happened and Crisis City remained as a Alternative Future of New York ( It's based in it),Silver and Blaze in owed Sonic, and they remained equal, same as before.......But living without problems.............Althought Things happened in Generations are not 100% Canon in some way....Then Mephiles managed to survive and then it live some years Recovering some of his power then he Become the Time Eater, And then Egmman founded him

Honestly, its a great fusion almost no matter how you put it, (i'd call the song, "Heart of Crisis") and it would be a great Concept for a game especially.
if Sega actually made a game where Chaos went out of control again Iblis got all the chaos emeralds power and become a god then Eggman joined up with Sonic due to knowing this wasn't the time for attempting to defeat him and made a giant robot like Egg Dragoon again just controlled like all his usual robots to attack them and then making Metal Sonic help Sonic, it'd be a great battle in all honesty.
especially considering those were extremely good fights within the past.

This artwork fits really well with thus nice mashup. But what if it was Perfect Chaos's theme (when the final battle's about to end and Perfect Chaos has one hit left) muxed with the Iblis boss themes.

Yeah I think Mephiles neutralized chaos before he even had a chance to manifest

And on a side note he was once part of Solaris a time God so it's not too far a stretch that he might have that knowledge on hand
This reminds me of the fact that despite a fire monster destroying *everything* in the future, including angel island, chaos did not even do anything? If someone has a rational explanation as to why chaos does literally nothing during this crisis please feel free to comment below

Guys, you overlook the point that Chaos is only an evolved Chao and guardian to the Master Emerald, and Iblis? Ho, Iblis is quite literally Satan's right hand man. And he's not just made of any boring old fire. Nope. He's made of Hellfire and lava! Plus he's way bigger than Chaos, or at least the same size. Plus, the setting would effect the battle. Where does it take place? Crisis City, or the town from SA?

Plus, even with the emeralds in play there is one thing that changes a lot. Regeneration. Without it, whoever gets put out first won't come back. With it, it won't come to an end until someone or something more powerful takes them both out. Ex: Hyper Sonic, Hyper Shadic, The power of Teamwork!, etc.
Hyper Sonic appeared in Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
Hyper Shadic is a fusion of Hyper Sonic and Shadow, who appeared in a fan animation ,Nazo Unleashed, by Chakra-X, and is seen as the most famous fanmade super form in the fandom.
There's still super Sonic, Super Shadow, super Silver, Super tails, Super Knuckles, and the entire crew from Sonic Heroes: Team Heroes, Team Dark, Team Rose, and Team Chaotix!
The first half gives the feeling of being in a hurry and I love it!
But I don't really like how the original version was shoved in on literally the last minute. Especially when it sounded like Bentley Jones' part was getting really epic.

Missed opportunity on Sonic Forces as they could’ve made some crazy shit happen with the Phantom Ruby. Plus the Chaos tease was the worst!

Pretty boppin... next step the elements version lol, throw in Dark Gaia's song. Water, Fire, and Earth... strange Sonic's never fought a wind elemental God thing.
Honestly be sick if a Sonic game like that came around, Sonic Generations 2, Perfect Chaos, Solaris, Dark Gaia rematches, then whatever the final final boss is that controls them, Chaos freed of its hypnosis or whatever joins the fight and can be controlled, chip comes back and fights the final being too in his chaos emerald megazord golem, shifts back and forth between playing speed sections as Modern Super Sonic Sonic, then to Chaos, then to Classic Super/Hyper Sonic, to Chip, back and forth. Maybe you can choose whether you switch or not, and sort of like A2's super battle against the Bio Lizard, the characters sitting back regain ring count while you're playing as someone else.
And it's reflected in the music, as well!
Man, this music reminds me of when I was running through a collapsing city in my super form. And I was chased by Metal Sonic, that too
