I was a heavy xbox player for RA3, but sadly there is a very low player pool on xbox1. How can I learn how to use the PC controls better, I am hard wired with a Xbox controller.
It just takes practice. Some of them are fairly straightforward, F1-F12 are used to queue up buildings/units. A few others are less obvious (e.g. f for the special abilities). The best thing to do imo is just pick a few sets of hotkeys at a time and focus on them. Ones to start with would probably be q, w, e-u, a, d, and f. Thankfully they're placed in the same cluster on the keyboard. q and w are for unit selection (q is all units on the map, w is all units of the same type you have selected on the screen, hit w again for all units of the same type on the map. e-u are the building/unit tabs. a is attack move. d is drive in reverse. f is the special ability. IIRC z and x are for selling/repairing buildings (these ones are more muscle memory for me than actual memory lol). Hold alt to queue movements. Ctrl+z for planning mode. Those are the ones I use regularly enough to remember out of game (mostly lol).

Well, allies have two really op things(in my opinion) Cryocopters, that are really tanky for a helicopter and cheap for the unit that can basicly make a unit disappear in term of damages for longs seconds with the shrink beam and a weapon that can freeze anything. Since the copters can go everywhere, you just have to add any unit to kill the frozen thing.(the combo cryo+peacekepper/vindy/riptide is deadly for any extention, because two cryos can freeze a defense tower and not die) That coupled with the best AA unit, the appolos, makes a air game really hard to counter. Furthermore, the cryoshot/geddon are a massive part of field control, because if you throw one at a group of units, they have to leave 8mmediately or any littoe peacekepper can oboliterate the entire group. And this power takes less time to appear on the field(i think). Oh, and aircraft carriers have an op ability, which can desactivate an entire army for seconds. Plus, athena cannons are the best artillery in a army clash tvanks to the aegis shield.
Even if they aren't OP, they are certainly boring. I mentioned the same in a previous Dimon as Empire vs Soviet player game but for it comes down to two issues: Units have an answer to everything and One Click responses. The back and forth, unit variety, the insane positioning and micro we see in these games isn't really there with the Allies. They don't have to. Ceridor's comment covers the big offenders, Cryo, AA unit, Aircraft carrier and its EMP, and these reduce the need for positioning or a varied response, you just click the problem away. So it isn't as interesting to watch and definitely gives the impression of OP. Unbeatable? No, not at all. But particularly when against the Soviets, some discrepancies crop up, at least to the outside observer. The Soviet player always seems to have to do everything PERFECTLY or get rolled, while the Allies have a bit more leeway thanks to universal responses in a handful of units. Problem at your doorstep? Shrink. Cryo. Emp. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
Yes they are. In addition to Ceridor's comment, Allies also have the strongest base push potential because of it's MCV's ridiculously large build radius coupled with the most flexible static defense and insta build (where you can't deny any of its building). Chronosphere, while counter-able, is strongest among the three secondary super weapon. It can make any (clumped up) army instantly die. That's why a lot are relieved that allied are not involve because there are too many instances that even before the opponent have the chance to fight, their army gets decimated by EMP, Cryogedon, Chronosphere, Shrink ray spam, and many more allies BS abilities. Like Javelin laser lock has too high DPS for a single infantry unit. Spy bribe can also make an army disappear. One clear example is Allies vs Soviets. The only counter to Cryocopter + Apollo spam is bullfrog spam. But as soon as they clash, all of bullfrog gets instantly shrink add that to the tanky health of copters, and their freezing attack, it's near impossible to beat that allies combo. It's just so unfair.

Lets have a fun conversation. If you were going to balance RA3 how would you do it? Here are my ideas: quick reference to stats: www.gamereplays.org/community/uploads/post-111444-1240675843.png though it is not 100% accurate. Soviets Have a huge issue with mobility in order at least to deal with harassments. This is probably their biggest issue as well as less great starting units. Conscripts built in pairs Molotov rate of fire reduced because they are built in pairs Cost adjustments from 100 to 125ish These adjustments makes them more like a horde unit to embrace the human wave the Soviets where known for. Flak troopers Currently they cost 33% more than both javelins and tank busters while clearly being inferior to both its counterparts. Sure they can by chance do some aoe damage but that is situational. if their cost remains at 400 then they could spawn in pairs while their mine rate of fire could be reduced or their cost could be reduced to 250ish Combat Engineer's Battle bunker I never really this so perhaps a cost reduction or a health increase? Add uprising's Mortar Cycle? It would help with mobility. Hammer Tank with how slow it is when defending against empire perhaps a slight speed buff maybe increase cannon damage against infantry? All cannon damage multiplier against infantry ranges from 10% (anti tank), 20% (standard infantry), and 25% (commandos) Dreadnought Increase projectile speed Change the ability to an (weak) AA missile mode. This would make the dreadnought a little more versatile and last longer with the lack ready available repairs. Tesla Tower/Prism Tower/Wave-Force tower they feel like they are rarely ever used and are fragile in comparison the Obelisk of light is force to be reckoned with. Perhaps increase the range and/or health? The extended build radius around the Allied MCV feels out of place when they can instant drop buildings while the soviets have to take time to build. I would remove the extended radius from the allies and give it to the soviets. The Toxic Corrosion maybe the most worthless ability, I would replace it with a Tesla Tank unlock and move it to the final ability. Tesla Tanks would similar to mirage tanks, able to fight infantry and vehicles. Set the health equal to the hammer tank (550) and set their cost equal the the Mirage Tank (1600). The unlock is the only requirement to build them. Allies Peacekeeper Shield damage resistance decreased Javelin target laser lock damage reduced Cyrocopter All frozen units or structures do not pass any veterancy. They already getting an easy kill, no need to add a bonus. Shrink ray cooldown increased greatly Shrink also has a issue with making artillery units charge because of the reduced range. Either a does not decrease range or shrink rays could cancel attack orders though this may not be possible. Cryoshot protocols increase delay by .5-1 second Carrier Decrease the health of the drones Greatly increase the cooldown of the EMP missile Chronosphere Either increase the timer to 4 minutes or prevent teleportation of enemy units. Empire An idea I thought of is that allow an upgraded production facility able to share its upgrade with like buildings. This could help deal with tengu swarms when there are more item available. Add the Archer maiden from Uprising? Empire do lack an anti air infantry unit that is not the rocket maiden. Additionally this would help them deal with peace keepers but make them tier 2. People generally say Allies are OP and I would generally agree. Soviets have huge issues with mobility in dealing with Empire and there is no real way of nerfing Empire without destroying the faction because it is their design. So I would say that the buffs above for soviet could be enough to even out the field. Both the Empire and Allies would have trouble spending time and money harassing if the soviets can posse a reasonable threat in the early game. Soviets are usually reactive until they either get a large number of twin blade or artillery. But, with more potential infantry, or in my suggestion, a large number of reasonably more priced infantry, they could make more aggressive moves forcing resources away from harassing.
game 4 dimon is not being cost-efficient with his tengu on those ore collectors. he just let them die without achieving anything. If I remember it right, tengu cost 800 while the collector cost 1400. Don't tell me about the delay mining cuz it's obviously far from a "good trade".
the soviet union is stronk cheeki breeki btw the soviets in RA3 has the potential to overwhelm the allies serouisly the advantage that the soviets has -they build structures faster than the allies and the empire -they have a very OP units like Terror drones and the tier 3 apocolypse tanks ( i just have difficulty spelling it) and V4 Rocket launcher as well as dreadnoughts and much more i especially use the terror drones as a scout unit or a camping unit so basically the soviet bears are useless to me actually
Purple Soviets made one mistake in the very beginning of the game, always built a crusher crane first, that aspect single handily makes the Soviets the best faction in the game. Essentially able to deploy their forces twice as fast.

Let's just say that the machine gun is too heavy for it to be moved around manually. So you need an electric powered railing in order to move it 360°

-they have a very OP units like Terror drones and the tier 3 apocolypse tanks ( i just have difficulty spelling it) and V4 Rocket launcher as well as dreadnoughts and much more
i especially use the terror drones as a scout unit or a camping unit
so basically the soviet bears are useless to me actually

Purple Soviets made one mistake in the very beginning of the game, always built a crusher crane first, that aspect single handily makes the Soviets the best faction in the game. Essentially able to deploy their forces twice as fast.
Not enough money for the Crusher Crane, you will get punish by early push.
