The barbaric nature of this heinous crime is utterly disturbing to watch. The senseless brutal beating of Tyre Nichols that lead to his death is beyond incomprehensible, reckless, and disgusting. The five x-officers, possessing criminal and gang mentality, who beat the victim to the pulp, deserve more than life in prison. These additional "accessories" or "accomplices" are as evil as these five thugs who were charged with murder. It is appalling, terrifying, and sickening that we have so many bullies behind badges hiding in police departments all over the country. I can't begin to imagine the pain and suffering his family is enduring. My deepest condolences go to Tyre's family and friends as they struggle to cope with their loss. Rest in Peace, Tyre Nichols.

Reform isn't such a bad idea when the most of us living here are affected this way and its still getting worse. Their speech all sounded like AAVE (African-American Vernacular English). This is an interesting linguistic phenomenon, as AAEV (and I guess "ACVE"?) would seem - as far as I can tell - much less anchored to geography and more stable across distance than other dialects of North American English.

The only question that needs to be asked in these circumstances is, "Did someone have to die here?" If the answer is "no", then someone has to be held responsible. Travyon Martin, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, etc. NOBODY should have died in ANY of those circumstances, so hold someone responsible and don't let other issues deflect from the fact that someone died unnecessarily.

Trevon Martin was a burglary suspect. Then he assaulted Jorge. He didn't have to assault Jorg. Blacks commit most of the armed robberies and most of the gun homicides. Trayvo Martin was no different. Black men are 6% of the population and commit 50% of the armed robberies and 50% of the gun homicides. Blacks are violent and more likely to commit crimes especially serious crime. Not everybody has to learn the hard way. Some people just stay out of trouble. More black people should do that.

A friend of mine single daughter was reported to social services. A child in he condo complex would scream, cry, breaking things late at night. The neighbors reported her because she was the only single mother in that area of the complex. Each time she was cleared. Another report about her came out, while she was out of town. Turns out it was a married couple, abusing their two children. Social services had to amend their investigations. If these people hadn't been so ignorant and bias. Those children went through unnecessary abuse. Many two parent families are not responsible on parents.
De-escalate? The dude was handcuff on the brown. They only needed to de-escalate themselves. Police need to be trained not to objectify people they believe are beneath them.

In my country Scotland my home city Glasgow has 189 gangs. For decade after decade the only solution was make the police the biggest gang it failed decade after decade. Then my country got a new leader and Glasgow got the violence reduction unit. Money was taken from the police budget and given to social workers and housing gang members and their mothers were brought in and shown pictures of the effects of gang violence. Our gangs use machetes, swords, hand axes. Social workers housing, police and gang members mothers were ask to work on how to kill gangs. It was agreed the best way to kill a gang was give prospective members better options. Housing was improved to give communities more pride in there communities. Gang violence is down. There will be bumps in the road but our government is in this for the long game. Conservatives are spitting blood but less young men are dying.
