I think Google isn't inclined to extract buyers from Indian market or they aren't intending to step into the already tough competition. Because they are clearly putting this phone just as an option for a very small fraction of users.
Their phones are more suited to the US market where there is no stiff competition from brands like Xiaomi and Realme due to which the Pixel 6A looks like a decent deal at 449$. They don't design phones keeping the Asian markets in mind.
They should consider indian market people really like clean UI that's why most of them buy Motorola for that particular purpose if they make good pixel mid budget phones they can sell definitely more here

Rakesh bhai's point about the smartphone market having come a long way since the first few Pixels (including the 4A) is absolutely correct. Google and its fanboys simply cannot justify the compromises that Google has made here when compared to the price they've charged for this only in the name of "Experience" 🤣. Pixel "experience" needs to atleast be close to IoS to justify this sort of price. Charging rate, refresh rate, insane amounts of heating and bugs in their own software with their own chip is unacceptable. Anyway, I switched from a Pixel 4A to a Moto Edge 30 this year. Trust me, ONLY the camera is a bit inferior to the 4A. Moto Edge 30 is everything I wanted my next Pixel to be.
But the truth is, 2020 phone is still beating the new launching phones in the camera segment.. so it's proved higher MP is not a better quality... It is also same for Hz.... without software optimisation everything is just on paper feels good...

I shifted from one plus 9 which has 120 hz to pixel 6a, i didn't find any changes pixel 6a experience is totally different and i loved it...it's so smooth after updating to Android 13 it's amazing 👏 hats off too 60hz of pixel 6a
In iOS Apple has powerfull bionic chip n great optimized software so thats why 60hz feel so smooth and pixal 6A 60hz can't beat even 20k android phones 120hz 😂

Been a pixel user for the past 3 yrs. Only a pixel user can understand tht 60Hz in a pixel device is not a deal breaker.. its works very well and saves battery too. As far as charging is concerned it should hv benn atleast 25 instead of 18.. This is the only flaw i feel as my pixel 3xl is also slow in charging. Other than this.. i would love to buy it. Google does not have the brand value of an Apple. This phone has some great features but the broken fingerprint scanner, below 90hz refresh rate, and the camera setup can be considered deal breakers. Pixel animations are far better and Pixel offers some extra Pixel exclusive features. And moto has some other extra features too.

In iOS Apple has powerfull bionic chip n great optimized software so thats why 60hz feel so smooth and pixal 6A 60hz can't beat even 20k android phones 120hz 😂

Been a pixel user for the past 3 yrs.
Only a pixel user can understand tht 60Hz in a pixel device is not a deal breaker.. its works very well and saves battery too.
As far as charging is concerned it should hv benn atleast 25 instead of 18.. This is the only flaw i feel as my pixel 3xl is also slow in charging.
Other than this.. i would love to buy it.
Or else i think one can go for pixel 6 instead.. cz the difference is just 2-3k

Google does not have the brand value of an Apple. This phone has some great features but the broken fingerprint scanner, below 90hz refresh rate, and the camera setup can be considered deal breakers. You can easily get better cameras and hardware at this price. Why doesn't Google setup local assembling at the very least to ensure competitive pricing? How can it afford to ignore a market like India?

*It's a well rounded compact phone in my opinion.* Nice Software, cameras, speakers, IP 67, haptics, display, performance etc.
*Chinese brands* on the other hand offer fast charging, high refresh rate, more ram etc if that's your main priority.
