In my opinion, there is nothing in nature more beautiful than a light snow on the hills, mountains, and trees. Thank you for getting me out of Florida and back to Massachusetts.
Thank you for sharing. My wife and I were there in October for our birthdays. We are 8 days apart. We love the area and that is why we have been there 37 times. I have been there 43 times and it never gets old. We were at New Found Cap and the snow was waste deep a few years ago. We love snow, a roaring fire in our fireplace, and spice cider. Life is good.
Beautiful video. Those mountains are my heart and when I see something this intense, it just causes me to get teary eyed. Mother Nature was really showing off here. Absolutely gorgeous. One of your best. 🙂
WOW Eric, you captured such beauty that Our Dear Lord created...absolutely gorgeous video... thanks for sharing ... GOD BLESS you and your family for all you do for us that are watching...
Eric, looks like a Christmas Winter wonderland! Really enjoyed your video. At the 1:58 mark that would be a beautiful picture postcard. Absolutely beautiful and stunning especially with the sunset! It's 45 degrees here right now and I'm freezing just watching your video. Looking forward to your next video.❤️
Thank you for this beautiful, peaceful journey through my mountains. I live in Knoxville and am so blessed to live so close to the Smokies. The scenery is breathtaking. God truly paints a beautiful picture.
I love this footage. Curious that they did not close the roads which is normal if there is snow or ice. I live in the closest town to Clingman's Dome and I wish I had driven up there myself to see this in person. Thank you for this post. 🤗❣
Beyond awesome! Certainly does affect our sense of spiritual. Thank you so very much! Any updates on traveling to the Park? We coming up from Florida? How is I -40 in case New Found Gap closed? I would really appreciate ideas????
Are you coming up I-75? I-40 is open through Knoxville. It’s closed at the TN/NC state line because of Hurricane Helene. The east bound lanes collapsed into the river. The roads through Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg are open. I think the Christmas decorations are up in Gatlinburg. Have a safe trip and hope you enjoy. I’m fortunate enough to live close to the Smokies and feel very blessed.
@SmokyMountainFamily Eastern Bunch or Western bunch? Can't erase American history, although many are still trying. Clingman's Dome. Ft Bragg. Fort Benning. Etc.
The Cherokee have been in the Great Smoky Mountains for over 10,000 years. In fairness much of their history was erased, then they were forced to walk all the way way to Oklahoma because their home was being taken from them….. Awful

Beautiful, absolutely gorgeous! My favorite place on the whole planet! Thank you for uploading!
Beautifully done, Eric. The music you pick to go along with your videos is always so fitting. PBS would be jealous!

It was closed on our first trip up the mountain that day. We later received word that it was open, so we made a second trip. So glad we did.
@SmokyMountainFamily So That's the secret. Be ready all day long in case the roads melt !!!! Got It !!!! See you up there someday I hope!!! 😊⛄
Just love it. Where is this?
So why was the name changed? Was Clingman cancelled now?
Kuwohi was the original Cherokee name of Clingmans Dome. The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians petitioned to have the name restored.
I am heading to Tennessee in 2 weeks. Is it safe to drive with standard car?

@ we come up on the east side of the Mts ….I-75 but then east of Atlanta ..thru Clayton 23/441 to Cherokee. Sad all the destruction cause by Helene.
Do they close the roads and trailheads if you get to much snow in the higher elevations.
Yes. I’ve been there when park rangers were stopping traffic and advising people to turn around.
Is this road closed already??
Closed December 1st
Is this from today???? I’m in Kingsport
Description says Oct. 16.....so this was several weeks ago.......
October 16th. The date was in the video and i mentioned it in the intro. Thanks for watching.
And on the screen. Also mentioned it in the intro.
It doesn't snow much thert
They renamed Clingman's Dome?😮
Sacrilege!😡
Back to the original Cherokee name.

Clingman's Dome.
Ft Bragg.
Fort Benning.
Etc.
@@JohnMoore-xf5wyEastern band. That land belonged to the Cherokees. European settlers ran roughshod over the Native Americans.

@derekk6906
I have known that story for decades, also.
Only fools believe they can erase history by changing its names.
