Soft Spine obliterated me, top 3 heavy songs from them imo and Courtney looks UNREAL in the music video as well lmaoo she somehow managed to top the Jaded outfit
This song feels more like a 'soft launch' of their bassist, Josh Gilbert, on vocals. Fans have been asking for it for a long time now because he was the clean vocalist for As I Lay Dying for 15 years and has a great singing voice.
I'm not gonna lie, the new Spiritbox song might actually be my favorite from the band, and honestly, this is one of my favorite songs of the year. At first listen it was simply good, but after some time it got so much better to a point where I like it a lot. I think that music video is really important to boost the musical enjoyment as well and to get the emotions they wanted to give to a listener, and in fact it's very deep and emotionally varied. This is a rare case when a song is basically stuck in my head and I cannot disable it - not that I'm a schizo, but damn, the song is too good and it will only get better over time. I never was a big fan of Spiritbox except for their early material, but now it finally feels soulful again, you know.
It’s good but I just don’t see them ever being able to top Jaded. The song was perfect in every way and is easily one of the best metal songs I’ve heard in a long time
@@4cedinduction I don't feel that about Jaded, it was solid but it wasn't outstanding to me personally. The one song that was really outstanding from new era of Spiritbox is Constance. Could be a matter of taste although...
Shoutout to Versafilms for the video! They've done 7? Spiritbox videos now. Also, shoutout to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where this vid was filmed 🇨🇦 Love to see epic shit coming out of my province.
Adding Josh to the chorus is a great move. Overall, I really enjoy the song, its composed and produced well, it has catchy parts to it, and it doesnt overstay its welcome. Also, I remember people complaining that their last EP title was cringe, saying "The Fear of Fear" sounds like it was named by a 12 year old or whatever. Personally, Im fine with it... Tsunami Sea isnt that bad. lol.
Drew, you should check out Traveller’s debut album . It’s my album of the year easily and those guys deserve more attention. *well, not easily AOTY. If I were you, Imminence, Knocked Loose and a few others are close but I think it’s my favorite.
Bruh apparently I didn’t listen to ‘Soft Spine’ and it came on Spotify randomly and ripped so hard😅 didn’t film a reaction but that track is sick🔥
The video for it is pretty sick too: ruclips.net/video/80VTmBAnTSE/видео.html

Too my time to smoke after school and then watch the music video, I was finally listening and watching with full in depth that was so beautiful.
Finally getting some Josh’s vocals. Hope he gets some more on this new album
Congrats on coming out! 😂

It was kinda nice seeing the Versafilms tag. I remember seeing it on all the old videos
Great song, so much going on, so well crafted 🧑🍳 😚

I know that As I Lay Dying r hella cancelled now but you should definitely check out Shaped by Fire for the bassist's cleans. Out of this world.
If you can't like this song... you're trying to not like it.
Brev I like the song
Totally disagree with that analysis :p
