Love the changes they are making with these new kx450s. Lot if it is exactly what I did to my 2022 to tame it down. Been saying for years 350s are over rated and not needed. The 450 just needed tamed down a little. For the racers and fast guys who want more beef there are endless ways they can make a fire breather with that same engine, but for 90% they are better off with a tamer more friendly 450. Glad they fixed the air filter too.

450 is still heavy feeling. churchof350 for me

350s are lighter like a 250 and corner way better than a 450. Can ride offensive on a 350 where you ride more defensive on a 450. If you haven't ridden a 350 you should

@@frailey788 I'm right there with you, the rotating mass of the 450 makes it feel so much bulkier and heavier. It's the inertia of all the massive parts and flywheel that makes everything else so heavy feeling. I raced kawi 250f most of my life, and they were almost perfect. I went to a 2013 Honda 450 and while it was a great bike, it wasn't fun to throw around the track. It took work and made everything much harder.
This is where the church of 350 comes in. It's engine design is closer to a 250f than it is A 450f. It's basically a 250f built with an extra 100cc but it's more than that. It's nimble, it revs to the moon like a 250f and it feels good to throw around the track. For sure my next bike is a toss up between a YZ250f, KTM350SXF, or a KTM150SX two stroke. The Yamaha 250f I've heard nothing but amazing things for a 250f, the KTM350 is already proven itself as one of the best bikes there is and the new KTM 150SX is fuel injection meaning it'll ride much more smoothly than the typical carb two strokes.

I'm going to be getting a new bike within the next 2 years and now that KTM has brought the 150 back and made it fuel injected I'm taking a serious look at this bike. I've spent my whole life riding Kawasakis, I had the KX65, the KX100, the KX125, and finally a KX250f. Then I got a 2013 Honda CRF450R, and finally my last bike was a Husqvarna FE350.
All that being said, my favorite bikes I've ever owned and raced were the 2007 KX250f and the 2013 CRF450R. The 350 was dual purpose so I didn't race that but I rode the hell outta trails.
The choice for my next bike has been either a 250f or 350f. I absolutely love 250f as I think they're almost perfect as far as performance goes but the 350s have stolen my heart. They just make sense and even my husky 350 surprised the hell outta me.
A 150 fuel injected two stroke just seems to make sense too. I've never liked big bore 2 strokes, as I've always been a fan of screaming a 125 around a track. A 150 seems to be a perfect balance of small bore but with extra grunt. I've never ridden a fuel injected two stroke so I'm just REALLY wondering how much better they are than screwing with jetting settings

Have you tried a ktm 200 2-stroke? They always felt like a nice in-between of a 125 and 250 2-stroke. I rode one a few times and really enjoyed it.
