Secondly, as a creator, what is your feeling on why some decks have the overwhelming borders? Ive never created a deck, but I feel like I would want my art to show as easily as possible. Third, I noticed one of the decks was very sticky. I love the ones that slide through your fingers like butter. Why do some creators pick sticky finishes? Thank you for going through these decks and showing them to us! I'm always curious about new ones, and I've just put a few of these in my cart! My husband will be so pleased! Lol.
I have and use the Nightfall. It reads REALLY well !!!! 👍🏻❤️I don't care for the cardstock, though. Very thick and hard to riffle shuffle (small hands here)
I love Sleepy Hollow, and I definitely think that deck is amazing around Halloween. But it’s also very American in a way, so I’m thinking it would be great around 4th of July or connecting to the American past/American wounds.
I have had the Sleepy Hollow deck for a while now. I'm so happy with it. The quality is great. I got it as a novelty deck because I love the story and Halloween. But I'm really impressed with how much the art style is like the original RWS. I have some issues with choices that were made, especially how a few cards or so ended up with images that don't come close to the traditional meanings. The cards are supposed to show the story but also the world Ichabod lived in, which is a great idea to help fill out a whole deck while adapting a short story. But I thought the author should have done more research into old Dutch NY and the period of early 1800s where it takes place. Instead he mixes in Yankee New England during the witch trials which were over 100 years earlier. But that's a super specific quibble. You could point out Ichabod is from New England himself and carries his book by Cotton Mather everywhere, so that is part of his world. So it does work for the most part and overall I love the quality and idea of it.

Did you keep the borders or trim it?
@@Ethony in my experience, trimming makes the stock feel even thicker so I didn't. Besides, I have to admit, I like gilded borders ☺️

I'm thinking of getting Between the World deck to go with the Witch Sister Tarot. I think it will be a perfect match!
