Verdin carillon at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church

Those chimes sound similar to the bell tower at Utah State University. Also, this is probably the earliest Verdin Singing Tower carillons from the 1990s.

I thought of Utah State University as well when I heard these chimes. Actually, this system is either from the 80s or before. The system operates somewhat like a player piano, but instead of hammers and chime rods, it’s something that triggers the Bell sample for that particular note. If it was set up to, this system would play music off of a special tape. Almost like an 8 track tape would be.

@@caydenharrison1181 at least systems like this, like the old systems from Verdin and Schulmerich, still get fixed by technicians from the Verdin Company.

I personally love the Westminster chimes in G major scale. Any other scale except for C major, not my favorite
