My 2017 energi has the same problem. Just left my mechanic now. It’s the speed sensor on my front drivers side. He said once it goes, the computer can’t read everything else, that’s why all the other lights come on! Cheap and easy fix thank goodness!
Thanks for the video, the comments helped find this same issue in my 2013 energi titanium. I replaced both the speed sensors in the front end. Oreilly auto has the left front as ALS2595 and the right front as ALS2596. Parts.ford has them as BRAB494 (2C205) for left and BRAB493 (2C204) for the right for my model. Search ABS wheel speed sensor with your VIN and you'll find yours. ABS, accutrak, and all the lights would come on just like in this video, got worse with the last snow storm. My theory is since these wires are bouncing around, seeing tons of the elements, and being just hammered by vibration, the internal wire will break and cause a short. The external housings look fine so dont base your judgments on just that. This happened at 168,000 miles. #fordfusion #abslight #fusionenergi #warninglights
The same exact problem with my 2016 fusion since August of 2021. Keep getting the run around from the dealership even after I have shown them several videos of the warning lights on all at the same time, but she tells me, oh it's probably a short somewhere, you just need to document every time it does it. How many videos do they need to see? Well I contacted the NHTSA about it & they found many complaints about the same problem & they were trying to push for a recall, but Ford doesn't think there's cause for a recall yet. But if enough people with this problem file a complaint with NHTSA it would surely help them force Ford to do a recall. When this happens in my car, the steering gets a little harder & my brake pedal starts jumping around & even drops down to the floor sometimes. Please report this problem to the NHTSA.
Thanks to this thread, the problem was solved! I didn't know why the hell this issue didn't throw an error code… but well for usd 50 for each new ABS sensor, Ive changed both ABS Sensors and the problem was solved! 😊 😊thanks guys! (Ford Fusion 2015)
I have the exact same issue with my '17 Fusion SE driver side speed sensor. The dealership wants 250$ to replace but I think I'll try to do what you did. Thank you for the video!
I had the same problem, it turned out to be a bad driver side front and sensor. Check which sensor is gone bad and replace it, you should be able to do it yourself. The sensor was about $40
Fusions of any year are known for bad wheel speed sensors after awhile. Luckily, it's a cheap and easy thing to replace. Mine 2012 Fusion had this problem and only acted up in the heat. A word of advice to anyone, if these lights come on intermittently and not all the time, check your speed sensors first! If the ABS module failed, then the lights would be on all of the time.
Same issue here all of those warnings and when it’s wet or foggy out. Same year car. I guess I need a better scan tool. Neither of mine show each individual wheel speed. The Zurich Bluetooth one from HF only shows the wheel speed not all 4 individually or a fault on an abs sensor. As info for anyone thinking about buying one. It looks like I will have to look very carefully at the wiring harness that leads to the sensor since all 4 of mine look perfect. I even removed them to inspect but found no defects. I may check them with a volt meter for resistance and continuity. I’ve been dealing with this for 2 years but im stubborn and I will figure it out.
@@justhes I've got 2 problems with mine. These lights always come one, randomly, but constantly. I live in cold-ass central Canada, my car is weird and likes the cold so it actually happens less when it's really cold out but a lot in the warm weather, seems like most of the people here are in warmer places than I am. I also have some messed up fuel vacuum problem that makes my car randomly shut down and almost kill me. It's great.
@@justhes hey, have u fixed your problem? Mine pops this all 3 errors (advance trac, etc) - at the sunny days. It pops more and more often. It was once a week - now it’s almost every hour. It’s pretty annoying.

Recently I had replaced my steering wheel clock spring. It had a code for that and none of my steering wheel controls worked. After replacing it I haven’t had any abs lights. I posted a video on that.
My 2013 Fusion Titanium have the same problem, my mechanic told me it was both front abs sensors, I already bought them but haven’t installed them yet. Hopefully that fix the problem.
Did you ever find out what the problem was? I checked my front wheel speed sensors and they look fine. Tempted to replacing them seeing as so many people fix it by doing that. The problem happens more often when its wet out. The speedometer moves a bit wonky and the transmission shifts weird too
@@justhesman! Its driving me nuts, i stopped driving the car altogether because if it. Afraid i might mess up the transmission with all the weirdness going on
your sensors are probably fine. Take them out and spray brake fluid down the hole while you spin the hub. The wheel bearing has a magnetic strip the sensor read off of. They are exposed to the elements and get dirty very easily.
get Forscan and read live data of all speed sensors, see which is not normal, or search the fault codes and see which one has a code. if the issue appear once you turn the wheels (left or right) then it's on of the front sensor.
No but I been looking it up and it has to do something with the abs I think it’s the abs sensor and maybe the wiring but it only does it when I turn my wheel to the left
Hopefully it's an easy fix. Although I don't think there's much you will be able to do afa diy maintenance on this thing. Only thing really you would be able to diy is probably the oil and that's it. With the hybrid system it's a lot more complicated. Having a scan tool will help but that only goes so far. Not knocking you or your skills by any means, but things are a lot more complicated now a days with all these new systems that are installed in newer vehicles. Nothings is an easy or inexpensive fix anymore. And if something breaks, it's going to cost you a fuckton of money especially if it's out of warranty.
Bill Mesker AKA billm704_mz3gt there is still a lot that can done diy even without a scan tool. I look at it this way, it’s a machine, any machine of any kind will still cost you money.... anything I want to do to my 4bt costs an arm and a leg.
Jimmy those lugnuts are a royal PITA. They're soft and spread with a lot of torque. It's supposed to be 19mm socket. Your best bet is fix the problem and replace all 4 sets with good chrome steel ones.
Alexander McKay That’s not exactly the problem, but pretty close! They are steel lug nuts, but with aluminum covers. The aluminum corrodes, and expands, while the steel stays the same size underneath. Then the covers just spin on the steel nut, or they get stuck in your socket. This left me stranded a while back with a flat tire and a stripped lug nut!
I had the same problem on a 2017 Lincoln continental but my ABS light goes on while it was raining or I used a carwash and went away itself after while! I used a OBD tools and it shows that it's a rear right ABS sensor, I changed the sensor but it didn't work so I talked with an expert and he told me it might be a shortage somewhere or a bad hub bearing. I researched and found that new vehicles especially Ford fusion and Lincoln does have different bearings that are not connected to Axle and also have a ABS module on it so I give it a shot and replace the bearing and it goes away forever!
