This was the second time I'd seen Amira. I'd already seen her sing this aria for her Holland's got talent audition appearance, and been impressed. I had to check it was the same girl here, she had improved so much. Of course after HGT, she started to receive coaching, and Andre Rieu helped her as well. But the result is stunning. You won't find a more emotional rendition of this piece anywhere. Technically it is accomplished too. Amira said in an interview, When I'm on stage I don't feel like a little girl anymore. I feel like a grown-up. That is certainly the impression you get if you close your eyes and listen.
