I am generally fairly calm, but sewing is one thing that brings out the rage in me. Sewing machine sewing, that is. Also, the no door knockers sign is amazing. 90% of the time it works, and that's good enough for me!

for the iron deficiency try taking your supplements outside your meals (at least 2hr before and after) and find vitamin-c enriched iron, that worked for me

Oh my- that was definitely a sign- I have had Conscious Luck on my wish list forever. Just last night I was thinking I should download it from the library- and today- you are returning it to the library. I do a quick whole house reset on Sunday but I use Wednesday as my "nopro" day. On Wednesday, I use the morning to tackle at least 3 of the tasks that I have been procrastinating on. Kudos to you for quickly dealing with and pivoting on something that triggers (sewing) you. So many times, we just try to tough it out and make ourselves even more miserable.

appreciate your content! could you delve a bit into advice for different types of lifestyles? for example i suffer from depression and i need to work or study for at least 8 hours a day. I don't have friends and family to call up for hanging out or even talking. my physical health is bad, so many times i have to cancel things or not show up. i also have family members i need to look after. and there are some options for healthy food when i can't cook myself, but they are often very expensive. i love using your advice for general guidance, and i know i ask much of you, to put yourself into a completely (i am presuming here, no harm intended) different pair of shoes

I have put a "no door knockers" sign on every house I've ever lived in and honestly its been a life saver lol I see them come up on my cameras but once they see the sign they don't knock! I love it haha

@@jules1371awww that’s so sweet of you! As a Jehovah’s Witness, we do knock on people’s doors to share something encouraging with people because there’s so much bad news out there. And a lot of people really love it. But we do absolutely respect the signs. We don’t want to annoy anyone. 😅😂
nah 90% of the ones who come to my door are asking for me to change insurance or electricity companies lol I don't mind the flyers they leave in my mail box but I don't want someone coming to my home to pressure me into spending more money@@jules1371

Anytime I've tried to sell things on marketplace, I either get scamers or nothing or people trying to hassle me down to giving it away practically. So you did well.
Thanks for sharing the real moments too! Like the skirts. Sometimes I decide I'm going to do something and it is technically possible to accomplish it that day, but it just doesn't work out. Then I feel like a failure because I know it can be done but I just couldn't do it. So I feel like I'M the problem. I am about to have a life admin day today. I have been super busy and then I got sick, so everything got messy and chaotic. Time to restore order!

I get you about the using something for the first time being a hurdle to get over. I have a lavalier mic that I've had for about a year that I haven't used yet because I have resistance to it for some reason. I guess it's because I don't already know exactly how to use and don't feel like learning haha. It's usually not even that hard once I finally make myself do it.

Your life admin vids are always super motivating for me. Also, hemming is one of those things that I totally have the ability to do, but I definitely feel you on the opportunity cost. Sometimes you just gotta outsource. And fb marketplace isn't any better in the states lol.

Two days!!! I ended up spacing it out after the skirt incident 😅
I like using hemming tape. But not the temporary fix one, but the type you are meant to iron on. Especially, with a skirt that is a silky fabric, they can be a bit annoying to use thread on and can get damaged easily.
I use your channel as kind of a body doubling so that I can get my shit together. hahaha thank you for what you do! :)

Do you take vitamin c with your iron? That will help with absorption. Also don’t consume caffeine too close to taking it as that messes with absorption

I don't know if that's helpful, but maybe in-between your Work blocks where you need to sit at the screen for an hour or so, you can take 15 min Screen Breaks, which you can use to for tidying around, etc. I know you do 15-20 min tidy, but maybe doing them between Working blocks would give you more time to stay on top of things and rest your eyes at the same time.

How much did you spend to get your skirts tailored? I consider my ‘hourly wage’ and if a task is going to cost me less in money than in time then I’ll happily pay someone else to do it!
100%, outsourcing this task was absolutely worth it 😅 especiallyy because it didn’t just suck my time, it put me in a mood hahaha.

I'm shocked. Who is knocking on your door? Is it salespeople? Is it missionaries? Where I live we only have occasional charity collectors and trick-or-treat people maybe once a year. Tops. I think I would go nuts if it was more than that. I tried being a charity collector once, but didn't like it because even though it was for a good cause I just couldn't deal with the feeling of invading peoples private space.
Usually salespeople for electricity or home restoration and charity organisations that want to sign you up for monthly donations - all totally worthy causes and the people are always kind, but I have a personal policy of not donating at the door so it’s wasting their time and my time haha. I’m hoping this sign helps!!
