Back home after a very long day, we were very happy to see that you still did the video late at night. Thanks for your excellent contribution to our chess life! :)
@@tylerross9706 Let's not kid ourselves, even at 13 Carlsen could hogtie much better players than I'll ever be over the board. But I think sometimes a young chess prodigy wins or nearly wins against top echelon players like Kasparov and Karpov because it's only natural for one to let his guard down, even if it's only a little bit, against opponents who are so young.
15:06 Keymer offers a rook sacrifice which Carlsen gratefully declines - 46. Rg1 Qf8 Had he accepted he'd have lost both knights, his g5 pawn and likely the game.
An epic encounter. Definitely worth watching. Magnus found the answer to Vincent’s seige engine tactics - turn on the drip feed and play a waiting game! I can't shake the feeling that carlsen was playing with his food. It's like he constantly showed he could win pawns (like on a4 around move 40), then didn't. He even allowed that really scary attack, defending brilliantly. He knew from the start it wouldn't go anywhere. Then finally he crushed Vincent. If I was that German kid I'd be crying right now or something. What a nightmare game for him.

Every move shown, showing a possible line which I thought was great, showcasing how it would fail. Yet Carlsen manages to pull a win out of this mess. Appreciate keymer for giving tough fight & not playing for draw

Dark square bishop would capture the knight on F6 with check, king moves, bishop captures on E7 attacking the D6 pawn which can't be defended.
