I have a feeling he felt he had better to do - I personally would understand that. That's getting called to work on an off day while you have to look open and accommodative. I could imagine him being a little upset with that, haha. Thus the shades. They hide a lot..
Wow. These are really high quality interviews. It's not the "What's your favorite food" type of questions, these are really informative questions. Loved the interviewer.
Zachary Archambault God yes.. when Schecter did that 'infomercial' for the Hellwin amp... God I listened to that video so many times just because of Brian's voice XD
6 minutes into the interview and I had to stop, and subscribe, this is one of the best if not the best interview i've seen, the guy knows what he's talking about, there is no awkward silence, and the conversation keeps and keeps flowing!
Lol Zack said he couldn’t even tune his own guitar, he deserves a lot of credit, he keeps up with Brian and he has gotten so much better since the early days
Nikolai Bjerke I know this is an old comment, but it sounds like he said “those are the good days” meaning it still happens. Although I definitely miss the Rev’s song arrangements as I’m sure they do too
I wonder if I'll live long enough to get to the vocals in 'Exist' I've had so many birthdays My children are nearly retired The futuristic style is now historic I've died a few times Visited the Afterlife danced with the dead Got a second heartbeat And had a little piece of heaven Been unbound on a wild ride Lost Had a few nightmares Got buried alive Went Missing in Action And still no sign of the vocals I'm so far away But I'll stay until the end Or scream Dear God Tonight we all die And Eternal Rest I can't Carry On
Met them at their hotel the same day. Nicest guys on earth and signed my waking the fallen records. Wish Zacky would wear that hat and keep his hair blonde for the live shows as well. Johnny actually spent 20 minutes looking for the gym at the hotel I was just watching him walk in all over the place lol. Syn actually drank too much so was not with the other guys, he was back in the room takin a rest haha. Great band, all super nice
Really impressed by the interviewer. Very confident, laid back and educated! Plus he asks a lot of questions that really haven't been asked before. It's really refreshing
Very cool interview. All of these guys seem like down to earth, very cool, genuine guys. As a guitarist myself it’s extremely hard to be able to connect with another guitarist the way Syn and Zacky do. Two different styles that blend perfectly together. Usually with guitar players there’s a lot of ego involved with you’re not playing it right play it like this as far as technique goes which I can’t stand. I know other guitarist who’ve taken lessons their whole lives basically and can tell you and play just about every chord shape but their pick hand is awful. I’m completely self taught and play by ear. Not that one is better than the other as long as what Syn said it sounds good. That’s all that matters. R.I.P. Rev 🖤🖤🖤🙏
This guy knows how to interview. Perfect questions. He asked them very easy and knowledgeable questions. All of which I found very interesting to hear them talk about.
The guy doin the interview is awesome. He's really into what the guys have to say instead of askin a question, gettin the answer, and moving on. Great questions and loved the interview. A7X 4 life!
pretty dumb how he sat along side that guy lol he should have sat across from him with the other guys.. i'm sure it wasn't his choice whomever arranged the seats made a bad choice lol
Ricardo Rafael Silva Zacky didn't seem to mind. it seems like interviews make him very nervous since he constantly picks at his beard, plays with his hands and says "ya know"
Syn-if you get the guitar without the sustainiac, you get a coil split and if you do get the sustainiac, it comes with a sustainiac" 10/10 best description ever.
When i was in high school (mid 90's) my friends bc rich had invader pickup in the bridge position. He played everything from Stevie Ray Vaughn to Slayer with that guitar. It sounded great.
Went to this concert at the Coliseum back in 2016. Only 45 mins away, and it was my first time ever seeing A7X. Hope they make it back to Fort Wayne in 2022!
These guys are very diverse I was shocked when I heard country from these guys. What freaked me out is you don't equate country music with Huntington Bch
What are they talking about at 10:11 about some click track where everybody's laughing hysterically? I dont get it/understand why they were giggling so much!?
My only question is, if Jonny went back and graduated high school, how many of us really see him at like maybe MIT or somewhere, graduating in music and becoming a music teacher of sorts??? I mean, I just would have loved to have any member of A7X as a band or music teacher. Honestly, I see M. Shadows as a vocal coach!!! 😎😎😎😎 I, on the real, would love that. As far as Syn, I would love to just pick his and his dad's brain, cuz as a guitarist, I'm moderate at best, but I would love to learn not really speed or soloing, but mostly riffs and counter Melody. I mean, I'm decent, but I could use more practice. As far as anything else, if I started drums with The Rev, my mind would be blown ending up with Brooks. Cuz I'm mostly percussion, and I would love to learn to clean some of my stuff up with both Jimmy and Brooks!!!
zacky's usual "You Know"
@@HughWanztino same😂
🤣
"You know, do it"
i love how Syn is just rockin shades inside like it aint shit. and he's the only one who swear at all and they just edit it out
I have a feeling he felt he had better to do - I personally would understand that. That's getting called to work on an off day while you have to look open and accommodative. I could imagine him being a little upset with that, haha. Thus the shades. They hide a lot..
He was probably high lmao 😂😂 a lot of artists smoke before they go for interviews to ease up the nerves
@@loveyouian150 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Syn is the reason the song "I wear my Sunglasses at Night" exists!!! Lol!!!
Freedom!
"You know" ~ Avenged Sevenfold since unmemorable moments
23:21 "we never release a record but when we do" this is something the knife master would say 🤔🤔
I'm still waiting for the knife master to come back lmao
Zacky v looks like a punk rock railway conductor...
that guy is the best music interviewer ever. watched a bunch of his stuff and he is very knowledgeable and genuine. very refreshing. 👌
Agreed!
I agree he's amazing
"Start DJ-ing"-Johnny Christ.
Best advice 10/10.
I like how raw Zacky is about the fact that he has no background whatsoever, just being real about being a guy who started a band.
Wow. These are really high quality interviews. It's not the "What's your favorite food" type of questions, these are really informative questions. Loved the interviewer.
this dude is a great interviewer
Zackys voice is everthing
A7x FoREVer I know right
I would love these guys to do an audiobook or something. Love all three of their voices.
Zachary Archambault same
Zachary Archambault all of the boys have such calming voices 💜
Marvin Veith Syn's especially, I find his voice very relaxing to listen to.
Zachary Archambault God yes.. when Schecter did that 'infomercial' for the Hellwin amp... God I listened to that video so many times just because of Brian's voice XD
Zachary Archambault Have you heard the snippet from Brian's Seize The Day vocal track? It's so perfect ;-;
One of the best interviews with these guys. Nice to have a guy interviewing who isn't a total douchebag and asks some legit questions.
Yeah he's very professional and knows interesting questions to ask. Awesome guy
Mitch Gallagher = The David Attenborough of Rockstar Interviews
:o its you
"So guys, how do you write and arrange this stuff?" Gates: "I'm possessed." Hahaha
To SweetwaterSound : You never disappoint. Best online store, best support, and great content. Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words and your business!
You know there are a lot of you knows in this video because you know...
This comment made my day... or early morning or whatever, you know.. 😂😂😁
For the longest time, I always thought they looked pissed. Turns out they're really cool guys!
6 minutes into the interview and I had to stop, and subscribe, this is one of the best if not the best interview i've seen, the guy knows what he's talking about, there is no awkward silence, and the conversation keeps and keeps flowing!
Thanks for watching and subscribing!
20:05 So Johny what about the bass end of things..Do you have to work things up to tempo?
*Syn coughing*-who cares..:D
Shreyansh Bhargava J Christ Humbucker Smooth one on back and heavy one on front lol and they "married it with eachother?" 😂
FAF.
1:09 Zacky is like "...OH I'M ANSWERING? OK!" LOL
I love how syn impersonated Brook's habit of tapping on the hi hat pedal.
Mitch Gallagher is the man. Asks the important questions and is a great listener. He should start a podcast!
Lol Zack said he couldn’t even tune his own guitar, he deserves a lot of credit, he keeps up with Brian and he has gotten so much better since the early days
Really missed these guys. So happy to be a fan and hear their new music!!
8:40 "Those were the good days" he was referring to the Rev who wrote it by himself, I believe :)
Nikolai Bjerke I know this is an old comment, but it sounds like he said “those are the good days” meaning it still happens. Although I definitely miss the Rev’s song arrangements as I’m sure they do too
I love sweetwater interviews they dont ask fluff questions they focus on the origin and the music
I wonder if I'll live long enough to get to the vocals in 'Exist'
I've had so many birthdays
My children are nearly retired
The futuristic style is now historic
I've died a few times
Visited the Afterlife
danced with the dead
Got a second heartbeat
And had a little piece of heaven
Been unbound on a wild ride
Lost
Had a few nightmares
Got buried alive
Went Missing in Action
And still no sign of the vocals
I'm so far away
But I'll stay until the end
Or scream
Dear God
Tonight we all die
And Eternal Rest
I can't Carry On
8:37 the Rev used to do that all the time.
Killer concert. Decide to go at the last minute. They are phenomenal. It's some of the most sophisticated music. I love it.
Met them at their hotel the same day. Nicest guys on earth and signed my waking the fallen records. Wish Zacky would wear that hat and keep his hair blonde for the live shows as well. thats good to hear. i like it when bands that play nice act nice as well
An interview with great musicians where they actually discuss MUSIC! AMAZING!
Really impressed by the interviewer. Very confident, laid back and educated! Plus he asks a lot of questions that really haven't been asked before. It's really refreshing
Mitch is such a terrific guy.

thanks sweetwater for this interview
I love how they call each other "this guy", lol
I can't believe Zacky just sighted Mr.Bungle as a influence for Syn 😍
Archaic Jerry Syn has mentioned it before...
love their new album, even though i got it already i am defo gonna buy it too
I love how the guy always leaves Zacky hanging
pretty dumb how he sat along side that guy lol he should have sat across from him with the other guys.. i'm sure it wasn't his choice whomever arranged the seats made a bad choice lol
Ricardo Rafael Silva Zacky didn't seem to mind. it seems like interviews make him very nervous since he constantly picks at his beard, plays with his hands and says "ya know"
Awesome interview but you guys shouldn't cut out the swearing :)
Demonitization thats why unless they would leave it in
This was great, thanks for ether video 😊 always enjoy their interviews, feel bad for Johnny sometimes 😂😂😂 being picked on haha
Loved the interview, when gates was promted to say you done your homework, I knew we'd get great answers as well as questions
0:22 Inner children activated. I want to go down the slide.
These guys are very professional. Not just musically. And Mitch Gallagher is a master of communication. ~💀~
Everytime i watch their 'newer' interviews I always like to imagine if the Rev was with them
Zacky nailed his lines !! Spot on!!
Its cool how they explain all the tones they get and how they layer stuff, I love it when bands do that.
Awesome! I would love to see more like this.
Dave Mustaine to Johnny Christ: "I am your father".
awesome interview, really cool to hear about johnny's set up, i had no idea how much he did behind the scenes
"Ya know"
- Synyster Gates
Just finished watching several interviews by Sweetwater and hands down, you guys are some of the best interviewers.
Syn-if you get the guitar without the sustainiac, you get a coil split and if you do get the sustainiac, it comes with a sustainiac" 10/10 best description ever.
Sweetwater is awesome. Been getting strings from there forever, great customer service, great prices. Highly recommend them!
Great interview. Really cool.

Finally, an interview where Johnny actually talks
Why does Johnny Christ look like Slash with a Mohawk?

really great interview wish I could see more like this no awkwardness at all I loved it
Excellent interview. Thanks
awesome video. favourite band
I love the interviewer!
such a good interview, man!!
The interviewer really reminds me of my junior high music teacher Mr. Hiner who is now retired. He looks just like him.
A7X and Sweetwater. Perfect 👌
It sucks that they don't talk much about the rev anymore. I know they care so much about them but I wished they talked about him more
saw that show in fort Wayne, best show ever
Syn is an amazing person
Interviewer is secretly john goodman in disguise
brain:coughs..."who cares!?"lmfaoo

Absolutely fantastic interview. Btw, did anybody catch the Step Brothers movie reference?
one shot every time they say "you know", it's gonna be one hell of a drinking game.. 😂😂😂😂
These guys are very diverse I was shocked when I heard country from these guys. What freaked me out is you don't equate country music with Huntington Bch
great interview, really liked it, go a7x!
What are they talking about at 10:11 about some click track where everybody's laughing hysterically? I dont get it/understand why they were giggling so much!?

Synyster gates looks so hot. These men age well
