As someone with chronic migraines since I was 4, it ISNT stupid when something finally works for you. I’m truly so happy for you because no one truly understands how much chronic illness affects your life. Your home life, your social life, your work life. You almost feel reborn being able to experience life to a degree of normalcy. I was finally believed and given medication for me 2 years ago and I’m so thankful. Also love the tattoo, never enough traditional roses

Yes!! People who have never experienced a migraine...do not understand! When I have to take time off work during a bad episode, it drives me mad how many people say "well I go to work when I have a headache"... 😡 a headache?? A HEADACHE?? try somebody opening up my skull with a chainsaw then poking around at my brain...add in slurred speech and double vision and vomiting....its a hell of a headache. Lol
Also, I've tried everything...botox to my head, daithe piercing, medication...so far nothing works 😪
It’s absolutely bonkers how something as simple as air/gas can knock out a grown-ass adult. Even just regular gas cramps are so painful. S/O to all the chronic pain/illness girlies out there! So happy you are getting your life back, Lauren!!

Ive had 7 back surgeries but you and several other people here keep me afloat mentally cause ive been in severe pain for 10 years. Keep doing what you do, hang in there, you seem like you are a strong women.
Had my knee tattoo over the summer to cover a large burn scar. The artist did a great job making it no longer noticeable. The upside was I didn't feel any of the pain in that area due to the nerves endings being gone.
I love the in depth research videos but this cozy chat one was so perfectly timed with Autumn weather starting. I got my snacks, drinks, headphones and I'm rearranging and decorating my room while listening. Thanks Lauren, always top toer content on your channel and thousands of people appreciate all over the world appreciate you! 🎃✨

I always find it so interesting to hear what other people find the most painful part of getting tattooed is!!! For my it’s the colour, I feel like my skin is being ripped open when it’s happened 😅 doesn’t help my legs and arms are covered in colour tattoos 😂

Fellow RCPD girlie here! I'm so glad the treatment worked for you!! I finally figured out mine was being caused by an underlying condition, so I've been doing better since starting treatment for that. I just love listening to you talk you're the best!!

I'm so glad that your treatment is working! As someone who deals with chronic pain and currently has no option for treatment (undiagnosed), I would never wish that suffering and uncertainty on anyone. Honestly as someone that wants majority vintage botanical style tattoos, I fully love and support the Rose obsession
I've had chronic migraines for decades. I literally don't remember a time when I didn't have them. I was averaging 28 migraine days a month when I got approved for Botox treatments. They have worked so well that some months I don't even have a serious migraine. It has been about five years now since I started the treatments and I sometimes still wake up and think "is this really happening" because the feeling of being given your life back is so amazing it feels surreal. I'm so happy you were able to find a treatment that worked for you! It doesn't sound stupid to hear you talk about how big a deal out is for you.

I used to be anti tattoo well into my 20s. And now here I sit, at the age of 32 ready to get my first session in a week to start my first half sleeve. I’m so nervous

I could almost cry tears of joy for you when it comes to how much you’re feeling better. I understand so much because my Crohn’s disease dictates and rules my life. Most days it doesn’t matter what I eat but just the fact that I eat will cause me pain. If I have a particularly bad night I won’t eat the next day as I just can’t go through two days of horrific pain in a row. I’ve had this disease for 43 years and have been through too much. Just to hear that you’re feeling better and can start to live a “normal” life is amazing. Wishing that the Botox works for quite a bit longer and that you can continue to get it done.❤️🙏
I got diagnosed with a gastro disease at the beginning of this year and my symptoms sound so similar, I am in pain every time I eat. I'm so happy you've found something to help you 🖤

Breaking Bad will forever be my comfort show. I've rewatched it an unholy amount of times. In uni we didn't have any streaming platforms, just a wall of my DVDs, and the BB boxset got so worn out.
Its so upsetting to hear how awful it got for you not being able to do anything because of your RCPD. But its wonderful that you are able to do what you love now and get tattooed again. yay for going food festivals too! Im just so happy for you! 💜
Watching this video for the 2nd time bc ive had 2 sessions on my knee so far and i still have one more to go. It's been hell to get but absolutely worth it bc it's beautiful. It's a bee with poppy flowers going around it
I own my own tour company in Salem, Mass and it is CRAZY right now but I'm missing Friday the 13th because I'm presenting my original research on the witch and the witch's familiar at a big conference. So life is pretty good at the moment, honestly.

Got my first tattoo on the ankle, and was quite apprehensive about what to expect, but pleasantly surprised that it was quite easy, pain wise. A slow, vibrating scratch and very mild sting, is how I'd best describe it. I get nauseous with medical stuff, needles and excisions, but this happily was no problem at all.
My coworker told me about disordered eating without having an eating disorder recently. We both have IBS, and we dont eat healthly. I will have maybe a protien bar (depending on how my stomach is that day) for lunch, and then dinner. No breakfast because its too early for my stomach in the morning, no snacks because of how unpredictable my stomach is, a protein bar is pushing it, and then I can eat dinner fine because I know that I will be home and stay home. Chronic illnesses suck, some make you associate food with pain subconsciously in your brain without you realizing thats what's happening.
But anyways, I'm pretty happy today. I got a friday the 13th flash tattoo with a friend. I now have a witch's broom with leaves and thorns on the stick. And I absolutely love it.
Glad the treatment is helping you! I don't have RCPD but I have IBS and I know gas can be seriously painful!!
I got my first tattoo today! Just linework so I could split the cost up and see how I handle the healing process as someone with dermatillomania. It was nowhere near as painful as I thought it would be. I have a feeling over the years I'm going to end up heavily tattooed...

I just had a few tattoos go into the knee ditch and it was VERY spicy, but not unmanageable. The worst I’ve ever done was the elbow ditch, 10/10 pain. I will say that black and gray with a lot of skin breaks helps with the knee ditch.
I love all of your videos but I really love and appreciate the deep dive ones. I find all of that fascinating.

Calm vibes to you. I had to reduce my caffeine intake to help my sleep/anxiety when my partner went in to remove a cancerous tumor last year. Listening to your favorite music can help. 😊 best wishes, good luck to both of you.
Getting a memorial tattoo next Tuesday for my dear friend who sadly stepped out of life 🥀 probably my most meaningful tattoo I’ve got so far🤍 the past 3 weeks have been so rough, and I think it will really help me grieve to have this piece 🤍

To be honest ive had a bit of a rollercoaster these past few months with sickness lung problems (phemonia) and losing my friend. Her heart surgery was not successful, leaving a child and husband behind. As of late ive been really thinking of her shes in my dreams. Ive find comfort in "little things". Hugs , the sun shine in a cold morning, the movie Practical Magic,... i want a memorial tattoo but not sure when.
It looks awesome. Emma is a legend.

I swear it makes me happy everytime you burp! I can almost feel the relief! That's the best! I hope you can continue with the throat treatments so that you can be able to not have to dread eating or wait to eat for fear of pain. THAT sucks! I can see how that would contribute to any existing mental health issues becoming worse. I also have anxiety and if I had to go through that, I'd probably have panic attacks on a daily basis! In your first videos about the Botox, I was fascinated by how that could actually help your condition! I'm so used to commercials advertising it to get rid of lines in the face...just the cosmetic applications of it. It's nice to know it can save someone's livelihood by helping them to burp! There's so many things cool about that!
As far as dying the hair goes- I used to use Splat- which is awful! haha! By awful I mean it stains everything and leaves my hair very dry. I tried Xmondo hair color mask and accidentally left it on for 3 hours...I got sucked into watching House with my Mom. The label says process for 20 minutes. When I looked at the time I freaked out! But when I rinsed it out, the color is very vibrant and it left my hair so soft and shiny! It fades quicker than actual dyes, because it's a mask and not a dye, but when it does fade, it fades into such pretty alternate shades of the original color! And it smells sooo good! Anyway, if you ever do want to put weird colors on again, I recommend the Xmondo stuff. You would have to have your hair lighter for it to really show up, but in my mind it's worth it. I did lighten my hair a bit before using it, which I usually never do for fear of my hair falling out...haha! Luckily that didn't happen.
My comfort show is the old school Addams Family with Carolyn Jones and John Astin. Anytime I'm sick, that's what I watch. It just fills me with happies.

I have chronic migraines and botox has changed my life! Reduced them from near daily to only when the weather is bad or when my injection appoint is coming up

I'm in the same stage of healing, I got my next session on my ghibli sleeve done on the 9th, took the saniderm off yesterday. This was coloring in my ponyo section on my inner forearm
As someone with EDS, I also couldn't burp for the first 35 yrs. And with EDS gas, trapped air creates inflammation which then causes scar tissue has to be removed every 5 to 10 years because (as I found out during my last hospital stay) the scar tissue will surround your intestines cutting off blood supply resulting in another surgery to cut out the dead tissue and scar tissue 😢 much love from iowa!!
I recently found this channel and am so grateful to hear someone speak about R-CPD. I have it too (not diagnosed but have all symptoms) and have never heard of anyone else having it. I live off of small meals and anti-gas pills. No gum and absolutely *NO* carbonated drinks allowed. Before I knew what it was I went to a cardiologist because of the chest pain it was causing.
I haven't been able to find a doctor that knows what it is yet. I tried an ENT but they said they didn't think they could help me so I cancelled my appointment. They recommended a gastroenterologist but everything I've read says ENT. I'm tight for money at the moment and don't want to go to a bunch of doctors if they can't help. Any advice would be appreciated 😊
Having gotten my knee ditch done very recently (early September 2023), it’s so much worse than the top of my knee lmfao. I sleep curled into a ball and not having the ability to bend my knee without pain meant I was sleeping on a couch with my leg propped on the arm the first 3 days. Would rather do my knee again (no I wouldn’t that’s a lie, I will be leaving my other knee/full leg blank af 😅).
Anyway I love the new tattoo! It’s looks great!

I'm starting a new position Monday in a new area (same company I've worked at for 27+ years) so have been going through massive anxiety but also ready to get on with it.
And! After 5.5 years I'm finally getting tattooed Nov 6th (bday on the 8th... 56 going on 40 lol). It's going to be a mostly black work black out tropical sleeve with some splashes of colour here and there. The appt is for the outline. Can't wait! You're my inspiration to finally take the step to getting this done. Thank you! ❤

Also, it would be cool if you started a new series where you chose subscriber Tattoos and selected their experience with them to read on your page like who they got them done the pain level their experience with they used to heal. I think it would be super interesting because everybody’s bodies a little bit different so hearing other peoples experiences would be really nice.
I just got my second knee done too!! The first one way sooo swollen that I was walking on my tippy toe so I put a high heel on that foot, just to be able to put a little weight on my heel for a change 😅

For my rose knee tat I felt the complete opposite lol the outline was a piece of cake but after that...oh boy
I don't know if you guys have Lefax or Sab Simplex over there in the UK, they contain the active substance Simeticon and it was an absolute game changer for me. It helps to reduce gases and is very safe to use, I've been taking it for years to reduce my IBS symptoms. I also had times when I couldn't eat anything without being absolutely miserable afterwards and not being able to function. It helped me to be comfortable after eating again and I've been able to slowly recover from my ED that was caused by the IBS. Maybe it could also be helpful with your illness.
No way! I got tatted on the 5th too!! It’s on my right side calf, definitely not as painful or cool but I love that we both got tatted on the same leg and same day
Omg I started rewatching Gilmore Girls as well 😍 I LOVE Gilmore girls and friends, they’re my favorite shows to rewatch during autumn and I would love to get a tattoo of them, but they don’t really fit the vibe I have going on with my tattoos 😢

This is amazing 😍. Just a tiny bit sad my grandma had i Think the same problem just a lot less extreme then you. She could never burb and could get really uncomfortable after eating and never knew why. As a child i thought there was a fisch living in her tummy because of the sounds. She would have loved to see your videos and it would have helped her. Thank you for spreading information ❤
Owww my heart! It’s so sad to think how many people have suffered with it for so many years - it was only “discovered” in 2019 and still so many medical professionals don’t take it seriously unless you go to a specialist!! ❤️

I have both front of knees left to do and I'm not looking forward to it. Booking a tebori style for one of them, so we shall see how that compares to machine.
I took a few years off from getting tattooed and now I'm back in full swing. I'm on my 7th session for my back and I've been going about once every 3 weeks on average.
I understand what you mean about the botox. I have awful TMJD and botox in my masseter muscle has also saved my life! I’m glad we found something that helps, even if it’s temporary.
