This works, but I find that, there this one camp near a Sea fortress, if you have the reaper or Order of Soup emissary (preferably Reaper Bones) you’ll be able to go back and forth between both the sea Fortress and the Skeleton Camp in order to truly maximize profit by not only having 2.5x multiplier on all treasure, but also being able to easily stack a bunch of loot
I like doing Sea Forts just in general, they're a great way to stock up your boat on top of being good for raising emissary level. I don't think it's as efficient as you do though, skeleton camps take at least 15 minutes to come back up after they're finished so that means that you're spending at least that long clearing out the fort and getting the loot on your boat, which is worth like 25k even with a level 5 flag. So you're basically spending the same amount of time that it takes to get the orb doing the Sea Fort but getting half the value for it. Outside of efficiency, I bet it's just more interesting to have a variety of content like that so maybe it's worth the tradeoff.

But whenever I do that method, I often sail to the Skeleton Camp after finishing the sea fortress and it still hasn’t refreshed. I’d know becuase of the flame at the top of the camp that indicates if it’s currently active or not

I think the extra gold piles are currently glitched as doing the optional ones don't seem to give you more gold. They're only worth doing for the achievement right now. But definitely do the main constellations for the orb. If the Burning Blade is active on the server then do the ones reasonably far from the Burning Blade unless you feel up to a quick steal.
just constructive criticism mic is kinda trash lol but maybe useful info for people who need the cash. i might almost recommend a slightly different approach though not sure how good it will be. but dive to a skeleton fort raid instead? while going to the outpost might get you closer than this considering the burning blade is a world event your method has you diving to a server that might have an active BB crew since world events cant be up at the same with as the burning blade diving to a skeleton fort guarantees no BB
Firstly, mic is definitely trash lol it'll be the first thing I upgrade if I ever have a chance. Secondly, that's a great point about starting a world event to make sure there's no BB on the server. The advantage of doing it this way are that you're guaranteeing that you come out 1 square away from a camp that's only 1 square away from an outpost making it quick to cycle. Personally, while I was testing this, recording the video and stacking orbs for my thumbnail screenshot, I never got attacked once doing this. A couple times I emerged at Plunder and there was already a ship there which was awkward, and a couple times it was already done on the server I ended up in, but at least I wasn't constantly getting bothered by the BB. I think the nature of you being in and out of the server in ~13 minutes makes it so someone basically already has to be there when you come up for it to be an issue.
the fact that islands reset in 15 minutes.... find a temple close to an outpost. have a friend sit on the outpost watching that island for approaching enemies. you clear the shrine put the orb on the ship then log off for 15 minutes. set a timer or have your friend alert you that the island reset (flame on it turns off when completed, relites when its reset) not as time efficient but still 80k an hour not having to move the ship assuming no one comes after you. in which case if an enemy is coming your friend can mermaid back to the ship and sail away. just have collectors chests to hold the orbs for fast selling. its sad this new item came in and is so easy to farm and its the same value as the chest of fortune which is harder to obtain and a much longer grind. they really need to add the chest of fortune to more objectives at this point.
Yea I actually played around with idea using a basic treasure dig voyage which has you emerge directly at the skelly camps, but the time it took to cycle through the voyages until I got a camp that was close enough to an outpost to make it a quick sell canceled out the benefit unfortunately. If you didn't have to sell the orb between voyages it'd be way more efficient because you could just dig the chests and reset the dive timer but there's no way to store the orb without going to a shrine or treasury that I know of right now. But hey if you figured out a better way that's awesome!
Yeap, I had a level 5 emissary flag in this video for the 150% bonus to get it to 50k per sell. If you really want to juice the gains, you could play during Gold Rush at 12pm-1pm EST and 9pm-10pm EST for an extra 50% to get it to 75k per sell!
@@GungHoSourdoughAny of the other factions give 2.5x bonus. The guild gives a max bonus of 1.75x because it gives you a bonus for ALL factions at once. The guild flag is often the best to use when you are just doing general missions because if you end up with mixed loot, you will actually end up making more overall. But for something targeted like the orb, do a regular faction to get the max gold and rep. 👍🏻
Dude this is nuts. I reckon they gonna nerf it at some point? Also a noob question what is the amount of actual gold do you get selling as grade 5 OoS that Orb? 10k or 20k? It always confuses me. I will do this someday and report back
I don't think they'll nerf tall tale dives, they seem to want us to be able to access content quicker to keep our attention for longer with the addition of diving and faster ship speeds. The orb sells for 20k base value, but you get the bonus from your emissary flag as well bringing it up to 50k if you have a level 5 flag.
I got a question would it not be faster just bouncing from cay to the one right below it? I forgot the name it’s not blind man’s one it’s the one right below cay and just repeating it? And just stacking until gold rush or somthing like that?
Yea stacking for gold rush is always an option but there are only two camps per map region and they're all like 8 squares apart so travel time is a pain. If I were going to do it I'd probably go with Barnacle Cay and Lookout Point both in Ancient Isles and just skirt the south edge of the map so I don't run into other players. Alternatively, you could just keep diving to Plunder Outpost like I show in the guide but sail to the Shrine west of Lookout Point and use the mermaid statue there to stash the orb, you can put up to 20 of them in there and collect them during gold rush so that you don't have to worry about losing them to other players.

Lol you would think rare would test for thing's like this before they release the season, it's not like they haven't had the time to do it. I use to do the volt gold horder exploit to stack tons of gold fast, not sure if it's still a thing, not played the game now for a few month's, I got bored of SOT. Rare spoil their own game allowing for things like this to slip through the cracks.
Yea this seems like the thing that would have come up from Insider feedback, they actually made a couple of these Skeleton Camps really close to outposts. Like Barnacle Cay Skeleton Camp is basically the same distance from Ancient Spire and you can do this same thing by diving to The Legendary Storyteller tall tale. There's also one really close to Daggertooth Outpost which you can get to with Revenge of the Morningstar tall tale. If it was an oversight it was a pretty big one lol
You're right, I did that for my other video on how to make gold fast and I felt like it added 5 minutes of footage that nobody wanted to watch lol. If you need to level a flag quickly, do treasury raid voyages for whatever faction your flag is. You only need 2 of them to make it to level 5, each one takes around 15 minutes and the loot will sell for ~50k so it's pretty lucrative by itself.
Yea for the purposes of the guide I didn't think you'd want to watch me get to level 5, but it adds roughly a half hour to get the session going. I do two Order of Souls Sunken Treasury raid voyages which each give you 11 skulls and a ton of emissary value. That's pretty lucrative in and of itself though, you'll make about 100k for selling those two voyages worth of loot which is pretty good for 30 minutes. Check out another video I have, "FAST Athena Leveling" to see how you can stack loot in the mermaid statues between server dives also.
@@0nestlyGaming I have a question regards to your first video athena leveling quick. Does that same strat also work best efficiently to get most emissary value (emissary ledger) as a solo player? Due to shortage of time irl, I always end up not getting enough emissary value at the end of the month to reach "legend" (I also because i prioritise all the other emissaries XD ) So far what i have done were just the treasuries, but it still feels so slow.
Probably the quickest level 5 emissary is merchant, by the way. 1. Raise the merchant flag 2. Buy all the merchant supplies except fireworks (cannonballs, wood, storage crate, etc.) You get credit for grabbing them and for putting them on your ship. This will get you almost to level 3 before you even set sail. 3. Dive to a sea fort and clear it. Sell the loot, then do one more sea fort. You should now be level 5 and it’s very quick. 👍🏻
Reputation levels are always subjective, because it takes less reputation to level up when you are low-level, and more when you are high-level. So there’s no easy way to answer that. 🤷🏻♂️
Yea like they said it varies based on how high your level is already, but from my experience turning them in you can expect somewhere around 1/3 to 1/2 a level per orb.
I thought about using treasure maps to dive directly to the skeleton camps, but the time I was taking sitting there cycling through the voyages until I got a camp that was a reasonable distance from an outpost, dug up the chests to reset the dive timer and finished/sold everything it ended up being about 13 minutes anyways so this just felt more reliable and less frustrating. I'd be happy to hear your method if you're willing to share!
Tough to give an exact answer because the lower your level the faster it goes up, but I was generally getting somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 a level per orb at emissary level 5.
@@tsc_blt At level 30 each one should give you about half a level yea (with a level 5 emissary flag), it's a pretty good way to grind out levels for sure. Check another video I have called "Fast Athena Leveling" for a technique to do sunken treasury raid voyages and store the items in the mermaid statues to stack them. I made the video for Athena, but it'll work for any trading company. If nothing else, it's a great way to level your flag up before you start selling orbs.
Is diving to ancient spire (legendary storyteller tall tale) and doing the one on barnacle cay about the same in terms of time? I think you might even be able to get slightly more efficient hitting up shiver retreat as well depending on wind direction
If you want to just bounce between camps on the same server, Barnacle Cay and Shiver Retreat are the closest together for sure. If I had to pick a second option for this it'd be Ancient Spire but I think the one near Plunder is just a bit closer. But hey keep it in mind, if this method gets popular you'll want an alternative route. You can also dive to Sanctuary and do the one up there too, there's even a shrine inbetween the camp and the outpost so you can stack orbs in the statue if you want.
No need to do that with this method since you're just diving to a new server where the ritual is up again, it'd take longer to sail between two camps. Seems like a viable method if you want to stay on the same server, but I'd assume that you'd have to be about a square away from the island for it to reset.
The camps take much longer than those new camps, plus you have to cart out a bunch of chests and loot. The big benefit of these new camps is not only are they fast and easy to clear, but they have ONE loot item to carry out. 👍🏻
You might just be getting into a server where someone else has done it recently, I just dove and found one no problem. You might try doing the Ancient Spire -> Barnacle Cay loop instead since nobody has made a video about it by diving to the Legendary Storyteller tall tale, make sure there's fire/smoke coming out of the tower at the skeleton camp that should mean there's an orb there.
Hey, I have a question. Btw nice video! I like it! When I have my order of souls Emissary Flag grade 5 I only get 30k for my orb. I repeat it often but always it gives me 30k for this Orb. Maybe anyone now why? Thanks for answers!
Hey thanks for watching and commenting! It's a little confusing how the gold values are represented, but you should see two numbers that look kind of like this: +20,000 (+30,000) The first number is the base value for the item you're selling and the second number is the bonus you get from having an emissary flag, but you want to add them both together. If you're only seeing (+10,000) I think that's what you get for a level two flag. Best thing to do to keep track of your gold is look at the third page of the log book on your voyage table, it should tell you how much gold you've earned for this session under "Current voyage" in the bottom right.
I've run into what seems to be a bug a couple times when I was testing this where I got into the vault and there was no orb. As long as the torches aren't lit and the door to the tower is closed when you get there, you should be good to go.
Sorry about that, I definitely edited this with more experienced pirates in mind. The background of this technique is that you're able to fast travel around the map using tall tales as waypoints, and I picked one that puts us at an outpost that's very close to a skeleton camp. I have another video on how Fast Travel works too if you want to learn more about that! Plunder Outpost where I came up from the dive, the whole point is to keep that loop of Plunder Outpost -> Lookout Point -> Plunder Outpost since they're only about a square apart. Works with Ancient Spire (you can dive there with the Legendary Storyteller tall tale) and Barnacle Cay too

Unfortunately, if you do Skeleton Camp Raid Voyages it replaces the Orb of Secrets with some faction loot worth around 15,000, plus it's multiple pieces of loot that you have to rally back up to your ship. Oh hold on just re-read your comment, if you got regular loot you were probably doing a raid voyage. You have to just encounter a camp in the regular world to get an orb, can't be a raid voyage unfortunately.
Make sure the camp you're going to has fire/smoke coming out of the tower or else it's on cooldown. If you find that the Plunder/Lookout Point loop is too trafficked, try Ancient Spire/Barnacle Cay instead. Definitely works though, I've tested it out multiple times since I dropped this video.
It has to be open world, if you do a raid voyage you'll get faction loot. Also look to make sure there's smoke coming out of the top of the skeleton camp tower, if there's no smoke or you see the gate is already open, it means someone else did it recently.
@@tobp I would mainly just do a passive grind. Make sure to drop off any cooked meats and gems when you go by a sea post. It was long grind, but I think the killer whale ship set is very clean and worth it.
@@netherwarrior6113 for real yeah, was stacking fotd for the commendations which got a good amount of gems, and i found that guild emissary works on fish when sold at sovereigns
Personally, I don't bother fishing unless I have a long trip across the map and I just want to pass time. Your best bet is to stop by every shipwreck you see and raid the barrels, you'll usually find 4-6 cooked fish in each one and you can sell them to the sovereign at the end of your session. Also a great way to find curse balls and chain shots which is a nice little bonus.

I just tested it again after reading your comment, seems to work fine. It's not like it's an exploit or something, there's nothing to patch. Sometimes when you get a server someone else will have already done it recently, you gotta make sure there's smoke/fire coming out of the tower at the skeleton camp. What happened for you that it didn't work?
It's actually not a quest, just an open world event like Sea Forts or Sunk Treasuries. All you have to do is sail to a skeleton camp that has fire/smoke coming out of it and there should be an orb for you to take
Two Order of Souls Sunken Treasury raid voyages will get you to level 5, they each have 11 skulls in the vault and take around 15 minutes, the loot will sell for between 40-50k so it's not a bad way to make gold/rep either. You have to add in travel time in both directions, plus even if you magically teleported everywhere you'd still have to wait 10 minutes between dives :)
I've been seeing on and off reports about this all day, seems like there's a small chance that the orb doesn't respawn when the camp resets. Unfortunately there's no way to tell until you open the door. On the bright side, I've done this like 30 times now and have only had it happen once personally so it's not super common.

I do two Order of Souls Sunken Treasury raid voyages which each give you 11 skulls and a ton of emissary value. That's pretty lucrative in and of itself though, you'll make about 100k for selling those two voyages worth of loot which is pretty good for 30 minutes.
Check out another video I have, "FAST Athena Leveling" to see how you can stack loot in the mermaid statues between server dives also.
@@0nestlyGaming I have a question regards to your first video athena leveling quick. Does that same strat also work best efficiently to get most emissary value (emissary ledger) as a solo player? Due to shortage of time irl, I always end up not getting enough emissary value at the end of the month to reach "legend" (I also because i prioritise all the other emissaries XD )
So far what i have done were just the treasuries, but it still feels so slow.
Probably the quickest level 5 emissary is merchant, by the way.
1. Raise the merchant flag
2. Buy all the merchant supplies except fireworks (cannonballs, wood, storage crate, etc.) You get credit for grabbing them and for putting them on your ship. This will get you almost to level 3 before you even set sail.
3. Dive to a sea fort and clear it. Sell the loot, then do one more sea fort. You should now be level 5 and it’s very quick. 👍🏻

It gives between 2/5 and 1/2 of a level
Reputation levels are always subjective, because it takes less reputation to level up when you are low-level, and more when you are high-level. So there’s no easy way to answer that. 🤷🏻♂️
Yea like they said it varies based on how high your level is already, but from my experience turning them in you can expect somewhere around 1/3 to 1/2 a level per orb.

I thought about using treasure maps to dive directly to the skeleton camps, but the time I was taking sitting there cycling through the voyages until I got a camp that was a reasonable distance from an outpost, dug up the chests to reset the dive timer and finished/sold everything it ended up being about 13 minutes anyways so this just felt more reliable and less frustrating. I'd be happy to hear your method if you're willing to share!
How many orbs does it take to get a faction lvl up
Tough to give an exact answer because the lower your level the faster it goes up, but I was generally getting somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 a level per orb at emissary level 5.

@@tsc_blt At level 30 each one should give you about half a level yea (with a level 5 emissary flag), it's a pretty good way to grind out levels for sure.
Check another video I have called "Fast Athena Leveling" for a technique to do sunken treasury raid voyages and store the items in the mermaid statues to stack them. I made the video for Athena, but it'll work for any trading company. If nothing else, it's a great way to level your flag up before you start selling orbs.
Is diving to ancient spire (legendary storyteller tall tale) and doing the one on barnacle cay about the same in terms of time? I think you might even be able to get slightly more efficient hitting up shiver retreat as well depending on wind direction
If you want to just bounce between camps on the same server, Barnacle Cay and Shiver Retreat are the closest together for sure. If I had to pick a second option for this it'd be Ancient Spire but I think the one near Plunder is just a bit closer. But hey keep it in mind, if this method gets popular you'll want an alternative route. You can also dive to Sanctuary and do the one up there too, there's even a shrine inbetween the camp and the outpost so you can stack orbs in the statue if you want.
Would this work better if you had two people staying at these islands to do them as soon as they refresh? or is that not how it works
No need to do that with this method since you're just diving to a new server where the ritual is up again, it'd take longer to sail between two camps. Seems like a viable method if you want to stay on the same server, but I'd assume that you'd have to be about a square away from the island for it to reset.

Doing the camps naturally give more gold than diving to them, but diving to them gives more rep. That’s the tradeoff
The camps take much longer than those new camps, plus you have to cart out a bunch of chests and loot. The big benefit of these new camps is not only are they fast and easy to clear, but they have ONE loot item to carry out. 👍🏻
The raid voyages give faction loot totaling around 10k and you don't get an orb, not worth it unfortunately.

You might just be getting into a server where someone else has done it recently, I just dove and found one no problem. You might try doing the Ancient Spire -> Barnacle Cay loop instead since nobody has made a video about it by diving to the Legendary Storyteller tall tale, make sure there's fire/smoke coming out of the tower at the skeleton camp that should mean there's an orb there.
Does this work for Athena? And is this much better than just diving to raid a camp?

Hey, I have a question. Btw nice video! I like it! When I have my order of souls Emissary Flag grade 5 I only get 30k for my orb. I repeat it often but always it gives me 30k for this Orb. Maybe anyone now why? Thanks for answers!
Hey thanks for watching and commenting! It's a little confusing how the gold values are represented, but you should see two numbers that look kind of like this:
+20,000 (+30,000)
The first number is the base value for the item you're selling and the second number is the bonus you get from having an emissary flag, but you want to add them both together. If you're only seeing (+10,000) I think that's what you get for a level two flag. Best thing to do to keep track of your gold is look at the third page of the log book on your voyage table, it should tell you how much gold you've earned for this session under "Current voyage" in the bottom right.

I've run into what seems to be a bug a couple times when I was testing this where I got into the vault and there was no orb. As long as the torches aren't lit and the door to the tower is closed when you get there, you should be good to go.

Sorry about that, I definitely edited this with more experienced pirates in mind. The background of this technique is that you're able to fast travel around the map using tall tales as waypoints, and I picked one that puts us at an outpost that's very close to a skeleton camp. I have another video on how Fast Travel works too if you want to learn more about that!
Plunder Outpost where I came up from the dive, the whole point is to keep that loop of Plunder Outpost -> Lookout Point -> Plunder Outpost since they're only about a square apart. Works with Ancient Spire (you can dive there with the Legendary Storyteller tall tale) and Barnacle Cay too

Unfortunately, if you do Skeleton Camp Raid Voyages it replaces the Orb of Secrets with some faction loot worth around 15,000, plus it's multiple pieces of loot that you have to rally back up to your ship. You definitely want that Orb of Secrets.

Just now I cleared some camps with a reaper emissary (no BB) but never got an orb, just regular loot. Did they change the rewards?
Oh hold on just re-read your comment, if you got regular loot you were probably doing a raid voyage. You have to just encounter a camp in the regular world to get an orb, can't be a raid voyage unfortunately.

After the first time it’s not there for me
Make sure the camp you're going to has fire/smoke coming out of the tower or else it's on cooldown. If you find that the Plunder/Lookout Point loop is too trafficked, try Ancient Spire/Barnacle Cay instead.
Definitely works though, I've tested it out multiple times since I dropped this video.

If you're doing a raid voyage on a skeleton camp you get themed loot instead of an orb
It has to be open world, if you do a raid voyage you'll get faction loot. Also look to make sure there's smoke coming out of the top of the skeleton camp tower, if there's no smoke or you see the gate is already open, it means someone else did it recently.

@@tobp I would mainly just do a passive grind. Make sure to drop off any cooked meats and gems when you go by a sea post. It was long grind, but I think the killer whale ship set is very clean and worth it.
@@netherwarrior6113 for real yeah, was stacking fotd for the commendations which got a good amount of gems, and i found that guild emissary works on fish when sold at sovereigns
Personally, I don't bother fishing unless I have a long trip across the map and I just want to pass time. Your best bet is to stop by every shipwreck you see and raid the barrels, you'll usually find 4-6 cooked fish in each one and you can sell them to the sovereign at the end of your session. Also a great way to find curse balls and chain shots which is a nice little bonus.

I just tested it again after reading your comment, seems to work fine. It's not like it's an exploit or something, there's nothing to patch. Sometimes when you get a server someone else will have already done it recently, you gotta make sure there's smoke/fire coming out of the tower at the skeleton camp. What happened for you that it didn't work?

About a third of a level at emissary 5, more if you're lower level with the trading company.

How to start that quest
It's actually not a quest, just an open world event like Sea Forts or Sunk Treasuries. All you have to do is sail to a skeleton camp that has fire/smoke coming out of it and there should be an orb for you to take

Two Order of Souls Sunken Treasury raid voyages will get you to level 5, they each have 11 skulls in the vault and take around 15 minutes, the loot will sell for between 40-50k so it's not a bad way to make gold/rep either.

You have to add in travel time in both directions, plus even if you magically teleported everywhere you'd still have to wait 10 minutes between dives :)

I've been seeing on and off reports about this all day, seems like there's a small chance that the orb doesn't respawn when the camp resets. Unfortunately there's no way to tell until you open the door. On the bright side, I've done this like 30 times now and have only had it happen once personally so it's not super common.
