This needs to be a MOVIE! I was IN the Navy and never heard about these guys!
Yes a movie!
I had the privilege of knowing George Cooper and meeting the other surviving men in the 80s and 90s as a child because my father worked closely with them on different projects. My father retired from the Navy in 97 or 98 I believe but before he did he brought the men that were still living from The Golden 13, The Tuskegee Airmen and another group of African Americans that served in WW2 that I cant remember who they were (forgive me) the first and final time they were all together at Dulles VA for a tribute for everything they had done for African Americans serving in the military. RIP you fine men. Miss you George Cooper.
The Montford Point Marines were the other group.
I love my father Michael J. Lawler for granting my wish and letting me enlist in the Navy as a pre-teenager. Most like 13. Miss my dad.
A lot of todays society in America could learn from them.
What a legacy. 🎉... young black man today have never heard from them i van only guess
2024❤
ALWAYS REMEMBER WHO IS TELLING THE STORY. IT WAS WORSE THAN THEY EXPLAIN.
Were there 13 disciples? I mean everyone says Jesus and the twelve disciples... but if you count Jesus, there's 13.... Right?
