Rebecca, this is my first comment on your content. I’m just loving your videos. I’ve been decorating for years and love it. I’ve been following many designers. I think you are one of the best that I’ve ever followed. Perhaps, the best. I am loving this series ‘using what you have’ as I too have moved to a new home. I was in my dream home for 20 years and now with the kids gone we moved to a small town in a little bit smaller house that was totally vanilla. You’re helping me figure out how I can make this vanilla home into a classy home with what I have. Thanks for providing such valuable contact. You are excellent at what you do.

Not too shabby for a temporary bathroom! A personal, little spa retreat and the white marble at least makes a good blank canvas to play on. Amazing what one piece of art can do, it gives the space such a lift, adds warmth and ties the rest of the design together. The contemporary vertical mirror and lighting, bring in that finishing touch.

I would have been overwhelmed by all that marble, luxurious as it is. But you made it work, Rebecca. Mental note to self: use lighter woods to break up overwhelming marble space. I would have been scared to have anything like a carafe and a glass in that bathroom. The shower is interesting. Love the tub at the bottom of it. I always wanted a towel warmer. Jealous.
Scott is so hilarious. Until there was a close up I was creeped out by what was on that towel warmer, lol.

Hi Rebecca! I have a very nice corner jacuzzi tub in my master bath that I just love and use all the time. I can’t understand why they are sort of falling out of fashion and being replaced by the new stand alone tubs. I guess people just don’t want to be bothered by having to clean or maintain them. I love that you’re showing how to update what you have. I’m no eco warrior, but the thought of all that beautiful stone some day getting demolished really saddens me. The heated towel rail is just a different shape of the central heating systems and radiators we have in the UK. Although we are getting more underfloor heating, as standard radiators are usually pretty ugly. I love the warmth you’ve added with the wood.
