I saw this on cartoon network when I was super young and after hearing it between show lineups (camp laszlo and puffy ami yomi and code name kids next door anyone?). And years after that I kept coming back to it in my head and finally as a teenager I found it. I'm 24 now and I still come back here. It feels like a glass of warm milk and oreos on a nice day. I love this song so much.
I, like most people, first saw this song on Cartoon Network then looked it up here. I absolutely love it; it makes me happy. I think the overall sound and rhythms are moving and uplifting; it truly is a masterpiece
Seeing the quality of special effects in video and due to i´v been seeing since i was a teenager... make me feel very adult... i'll always love this band!
Fun fact, the reason second verse is hard to understand is that it's in Japanese. The song on the album is mostly Japanese, this is a different version of the song where a couple of verses are in English.
Another fun fact: Ian Parton once penned a song for Momoiro Clover Z. Only the music, not the lyrics. It’s called Roudou Sanka. The beats bear an unmistakable similarity.
Alright Kiddies! Gather around! Let Grandpa Chris tell you a story. A story of seeing this video on Cartoon Network. When I was in middle school which would have been like 2005? The internet was still very simple back then. Very difficult. None of this shazam shit. You just googled random things and hoped there was...... something. There i was googling this song. Not knowing the name of the song or the band name. No being able to figure out any lyrics lol For years, i was googling everything i could. Japanese pop cheerleader double dutch chanting sonic youth distortion video game. Im like give me somethingggg. I never forgot that bizarre sound. Till one day in highschool i saw the movie Whip It and found one of my favorite bands of all time! Kids today dont understand how difficult it was back then lol
Ha ha, similar story here. I live in the bush, no radio reception so basically my musical knowledge for new music stops at 1985 when i moved there. So I was visiting a friend about 2004 I think, and I heard some music on the radio but didn't catch who it was. It took me a few years to find out who it was but I never forgot that little bit I heard on the radio that day. And I was so happy to see them play in Australia years ago, that was a good night, except it was in a pub, a little bit small i think.
I currently have the lyrics, but I think the reply would be too short to allow all of it, and codeman38 is also correct about the subtitles. The lyrics may be found on the internet somewhere else through a search engine and the Cartoon Network one was very common about 2-4 weeks ago. The long version was and my version was recorded from a recorder and sucks, so I took it down.
We show it cause we know it And we know it always Its better to the letter Now everyday we can shake it in the spring time shake it in the snow It's ti- ti- ti ti time to go go You can call it what you wanna We call it freestyle It's uh uh uh all over the dial There's nothing to do so we'll go right now It's not about the knowledge its getting the know
i listened to this once, then for the rest of the day, everything i did was on the beat and tune of the song! lol chewing gum, eating cereal, walking, etc.
Deerhoof are extremely similar (and IMHO a lot better), plus they've managed to spread that wonderful sound across something like 15 albums. Check out the albums Breakup Song, Offend Maggie, Milk Man and The Runners Four.
Boo. I can't believe you are trolling a Go Team video. Does Dearhubbi or whatever they are called have an old school Panasonic "brick" mobile phone in their video? [Drops mic]
Nagsworth - 2 years later response: errr those bands are most certainly not extremely similar. Although Deerhoof does have an Asian singer. Is that why you think they are so similar?? LOL
so cute! You can't help but feel happy listening to the go team. Unfortuneately their tour with CSS is coming now where near me and that makes me uber depressed.
Shes singing in Japanese, google translator says it means To escape from all of its outrageous We forget the gallop When flows Furimukeba World, all fantastic Noriyuki from the idea that the half-ablative But meditation I wash it mind? Or dawn but still paranoid? Rough translation not all words translate equally
Because here in the UK (and US) the radio stations only play the same generic written-by-a-committee crap over and over instead of good music. I wouldn't be surprised if you have the same problem.
exactly it is that ,and a great mix of musical talent ,i think thats the unknown factor that grabbed my attention ,these guys are great id pay to see these guys perform ,i say martial arts cos its a mixture of art and performance and always with music is the unknown , i luv martial arts cos i practice it and wenever i see art come together like this im in awe :D
this song has haunted me since i first saw it on cartoon network years and years ago and i finally found in the year of our good lord in 2017
I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THIS CLIP FROM SOMEWHERE!!! It always seemed so familiar to me but you are right! I remember seeing this on CN as well
this is where im at right now
Me & my brother we’re obsessed since we seen them on CN. Will a network be this sick ever again?
This is IT! New music which incorporated the pop of the 60's, rap, orchestral bop, rock and roll; and most of all...FUN!

Mystery solved: It was Cartoon Network of all things who introduced me to The Go! Team.
The Go Team is underrated their new music is also amazing. And love how they mix pop and different cultures into their music.
This original lineup put on one of the most fun, high energy concerts I’ve ever seen.
Saw them headline one of the smaller stages st Leeds Festival 2004. Top stuff.
I, like most people, first saw this song on Cartoon Network then looked it up here. I absolutely love it; it makes me happy. I think the overall sound and rhythms are moving and uplifting; it truly is a masterpiece
this was second go! team song i ever heard. the first was get it together, and then when i heard huddle formation i knew my soul was theirs forever

Seeing the quality of special effects in video and due to i´v been seeing since i was a teenager... make me feel very adult... i'll always love this band!

that's really interesting, i wonder why did they decide to make them in japanese?
@@komorebi301 They work with a lot of international artists. The Scene Between features singers from Japanese and French bands.
Another fun fact: Ian Parton once penned a song for Momoiro Clover Z. Only the music, not the lyrics. It’s called Roudou Sanka. The beats bear an unmistakable similarity.
Well that's quite funny as i speak japanese and i still can literally not understand a singe world LMAO
this song represents me perfectly
wanna have a band like this...

@@nathanmcgill7249 why not both?

Why am I the only person I know that absolutely loves this tune?
Because you don't know me
Spike Jonez meets Super Mario Brothers. There is nothing, I repeat nothing like The Go Team!
Eric Warren yeah and I like it. It's very unique
Deerhoof are extremely similar (and IMHO a lot better), plus they've managed to spread that wonderful sound across something like 15 albums. Check out the albums Breakup Song, Offend Maggie, Milk Man and The Runners Four.

actually, there is Junior Senior retro-classic "Move Your Feet", which and who they know of course... and, excuse me for that, the Spike is a Jonze!
Nagsworth - 2 years later response: errr those bands are most certainly not extremely similar. Although Deerhoof does have an Asian singer. Is that why you think they are so similar?? LOL
The Go! Team always has just enough distortion that it sounds good more than it's distracting.
Forgot about this song for over 3 years. This feeling now *___*
great song!
how does anybody not like this video!!!
wow! la cancion y el video son de lo mejor!! :D
so cute! You can't help but feel happy listening to the go team. Unfortuneately their tour with CSS is coming now where near me and that makes me uber depressed.
