You've been so helpful, thank you for taking the time to share, keep them coming!
Thank you! Will do!
Sounds so good I'm about a week away from picking up my 2022 T7 it definitely needs this growl
Just remove spark arrestor. 4nuts, 4Allen screws
Nicely done! :)
I found out you can fix the sqeak by putting the silencer baffle screw back in, even though the baffle is removed, my drz400sm aftermarket exhaust made the same sound with the baffle screw removed
Nice vid! And incredible deep bassy sound! I am wondering could someone mount this exhaust at its normal place? Sound amazing!
It’s possible. Check out the camel adv website.
Interesting
Is it me or does it look half cocked counter clockwise?
Nice little vid. im contiplating getting this...Do the blinkers get hot? With all the baffles installed, how does it compare to stock sound!
I haven't bothered installing the suppled head shield for the right hand rear indicator, as the muffler doesn't point directly at it as I thought it would.
with no silencer installed its got a bit of a growl to it, but its not quite what I would call obnoxious. with the silencer installed, its only a little bit louder that factory.
Have you messed around with riding with and without the db killer? Just installed the same exhaust myself. I am not sure I like how loud the unsilenced exhaust is, but with the silencer in I feel an obvious decrease in power over stock or silenced. I like the unsilenced sound, but I also don't want to annoy my neighbors or anything. It probably isn't that loud, but it makes me worry just a bit.
I don’t notice a change in power with or without the silencer.
Without it I feel it’s a bit loud and annoying. So I keep mine in most of the time.
Saw you’ve got the Kriega boots at the back, have you tried the soft luggage with the exhaust?
Yep. I’ve run the Kriega OS-12s on the OS-Base with no problems.
I'm not sure but I think the squeaking sound is produced by the hole of the screw that holds the baffle, try plugging it with something
ahhhh thats a good point, ill look into that!
thanks
How do you get the DB Killer out of the camel exhaust?
There’s one size 6 hex bolt and it comes out. I’ve swapped mine out for a standard M6 bolt.
I always go baffle out. Idc what they say about "they wont hear you coming" its not about people hearing me coming up behind them, its to remind them im there when riding along side in traffic lol. Its for sitting at a light an doin a quick blip as it turns green to get the cars moving XD, an it turns heads all the time, people are always curious, some get annoyed but they are boring people anyways.
Thinking of buying just the Camel link pipe kit without the muffler. Partly to keep overall cost down but also to use a better quality muffler. Have you come across a good alternative available locally in NZ? Cheers
Alternative mufflers?
I haven't really looked to be honest. I'm happy with the Camel ADV unit.
@@MotoNZ good to know. So not too loud then? Cheers for reply!
Not with the silencer installed
Anyone using rackless soft luggage with this set-up? Will it melt soft luggage?
We run Kriega OS-12 soft panniers and they're fine. the outside of the muffler gets warm, but can still put your hand on it without burning.
I actually think that!! The Best solution it's simply the HP CORSE Hight exhaust !! Because it sort out very well the issue of hiting the swing arm !! Don't you think?
HPCorse is a good option, but not available in NewZealand. The CamelADV option is similar to the HP Corse.
With the HP you HAVE to move the indicators, so here in Australia that’ll get you around the $1500 mark once you’ve grabbed a Cymarc tail tidy. This Camel ADV exhaust you don’t have to use a tail tidy, so the price drops to $1000. Only Cymarc in the UK makes a tail tidy you don’t have to modify the indicator position, or use LED indicators
@@martyn_g yes!! It's OK!! Understandable! 👍👍 thank's for your answer!! ..
Indicators ok with the heat?
Yep, I never installed the heat deflector, and have never melted an indicator. Also perfectly fine with luggage systems like Krieger. Have not melted a single thing in 20,000km
Also, I don’t think this bike actually needs a tail tidy. It isn’t that ugly at the rear, and gives great mud protection
@@martyn_g the red and water deflection is the main reason I have not done a tailtidy. I like not getting covered in mud every single ride.
I think it needs correctly aligning mate, looks like a pissed up one eyed pirate installed it in the dark...
you think? camera angles will do that haha...
I think old varmartin has had too many beers, looks fine to me.
Nice video, but there are other solutions on the market without cutting the frame.
Yup, like the HP Corse SP-1
Yes. What’s your point? I’m based in NZ so options are slim, but I also think this is the best option for my situation
@@MotoNZ just an opinion, it's your bike do what you want. There's the HP Corse
@@MLeitao hpcorse is not available in NewZealand.
Cutting this off isn’t a big deal, you can always weld it back on if you wanted to.
