Thanks for the video. I dropped a screw into mine when putting a jig on this afternoon. Removed the four screws and couldn't get it open. Now I know I just need to use a bit of force. :)
Love it when other people rip into electronics and power tools to show how there designed! Back in the good ole days, when you bought something technical, it came with schematics and diagrams, not to mention instructions on how to maintain the product because back then things were expected to last. Things you could hand down from grandfather to father to son and be proud to own a part of history. A day when Radio Shack employed actual electrical engineers or people trained in the electronics field. Awesome video! I needed something I could buy used with adjustable high rpm's to drive a small craftsman leaf blower I'm attaching underneath a remote control lawn mower I'm building. This might just do the trick! Thank you for your time and efforts.
Just rewatching this video for nostalgic reasons. Was thinking the other day about how there used to be a number of channels that would do like you did here, show the inner workings of tools. Not so common anymore. Anyway... I think I started watching your channel about the time this video was posted or a little bit before. Memories...
Excellent video, not least because I had a DRT50 with a dropped washer inside it. The motor magnets mean't that it wasn't coming out without a fight. Just need to re-assemble. Where is that hammer...!? Clearly you're a Makita Geek - take that as a complement.
what to do. Minje stopped working after a few months of use. when I start it it makes 1/3 1/4 0r a 1/2 revolution but then stops. I liked the machine when it was still working. what can I do ?
There may be something impeding it so the overload kicks in so to not damage the tool. Routers get full of a lot of dust as you would expect. First I would try taking it apart and giving it a good clean out and make sure everything is moving freely. Let me know how you get on.
Can someone help? So I have this model and yesterday I went to use it, it powers up with led then when you press power it goes to spin then stops like it wants to turn. What do I do ? It was work perfectly yesterday morning. Could it have dust inside it ? Cheers guys

Thanks! Saved me pulling mine apart to see what's in there.
Lol, I had a friend years ago who worked for Bosch. He gave me a Bosch mouse pad. Mouse pad still works fine. ;-)
Is it necessary to lubricate any component? Or is it just cleaning?
Just blow it out.
