You forgot the calendar that hasn’t been changed since July 1998
Ah yes
Um, 1992
I was thinking calendar of 78
@@44punisherable oh and that fire extinguisher from the 60s… just added a new one because I’m responsible and wish to create confusion during a fire
@@davidtubesing79 how about the fire extinguisher from the 1300s...
"it might come in handy someday" because it never will, but if you did get rid of it, you'd suddenly need it more than anything
I lost count of how many trips I've made to the hardware store because I had to replace something I threw away.
You said it perfectly! If you keep it you will never use it! If you throw it away two fing weeks later you are buying it again. I guess it’s construction physics?
Exactly. You never know when you'll need something. I can count on one hand that's how many times I've gotten rid of something only to need sometime in the near or far future!
Too accurate
my boss at an old job knew exactly where he left everything in 1991 and if it wasn't there anymore (a lot of times it was, surprisingly) he'd get mad that we threw it away so we always lied that we used it on that one job a couple of months ago
The MOST authentic thing in this video is how Myles naturally swears more when he’s in Construction Worker Mode.
I work in city construction and water maintenance. The worksite is like an NC-17 TV-MA movie. So much swearing, cussing, swearing, and cussing and swearing more with cuss words that don't even go together. Ironically, it makes the nail go into the 2 by 4 correctly. After you've bent the nail into a 45 degree angle.
You forgot the staggering amount of cigarette butts scattered all over the shop floor 😂😂
Shhh the higher ups don’t like us smoking inside the shop
And the driveway, boneyard, parking lot, rec room, bathroom, roof (and all the freaking beer cans and the full picnic set up up there wtf?), but mysteriously none in the designated smoking area.
Literally the most accurate video ever
Yeah if you like to pretend you work in construction.
@@xXSqurrillyAdamsXx Worked in a shop for about 7 years and that is pretty damn accurate, unless you are just trying to leave an edgy comment.
I work at a mechanic shop, there’s nothing in the world more accurate than the bathroom. I swear to God that thing hasn’t been cleaned in 15 years. And the extension cord rat nest is a must. Every time someone breaks an extension cord they just chuck it in a pile
You forgot the tools that are “missing” that are really just laying around in there
Okay, but can we talk about the quilted northern TP in the bathroom? That's the real way to see if a company cares about its employees. Not luxury, but not the cheapest they could get. Solid bossman
using the fire extinguisher as an extension to the coat hooks is perfection
I should call her.lmao
How does this guy not have a million subscribers yet.
You forgot the “screw bin” where every screw is mixed into one bin and not a single one is the size you’re looking for.
"Everybody knows what this is!"
That got me. Every concrete crew on earth thinks they're the first ones to come up with that joke, even though literally everyone who has ever worn a hard hat near a mixing truck already knows what that is and whose mom it belongs to before it even gets plugged in.
A nicely stacked pile of pallets with the shitty broken ones leaning against it. Very nice.
All of the construction companies I worked for had the crappiest mismatched furniture!
You get a few new pieces every time a guy gets divorced.
So true and the longer the shop has been around, usually the bigger the crap yard behind it will be. The tree growing up through the grill was hilarious, and I have seen that as well. The dvd shelf, and random old crappy equipment, check. Its all there!
"Gonna use the bathroom" with a serial killer smile😂
OSHA- “Allow me to introduce myself.”
The plunger from the 90s....insanely accurate.
I am thoroughly convinced that he really does have an actual construction company on the side
Family business
His dad owns a concrete company
Damn, my man’s weekends get started on a Tuesday 🙌🏼 that’s impressive and I fully support it
That GD scrap graveyard in the back really hit home
I think every Midwest Dad says “it may be useful someday”
Hey, I'm an equipment operator too so I thought I'd swing by and leave a comment.
I’m in the Midwest I can’t help but laugh at the Spanish AD’s lol
Oh you can't forget about that one section of the shop that is all the bosses personal shit
We have that same old a** makita chop saw at work too 🤣 (great movies btw)
I agree. Some of that garbage that's everywhere might come in handy someday
This construction shop video is giving me some serious Twilight Zone vibes because this is literally how my boyfriend’s 2 car garage looks. 😂👌
Fun Fact - the random sh!t is on the side of the garage, behind the garage, and all over the backyard.
This is on point, the smell of cigarettes looming in the shop is the only thing you didn’t mention, otherwise this was dead on 😂
All of this is so true keep up the good work
Thanks for the great video. I hope you have not retired!
This is every trades shop I’ve ever been in.
Lolololol, I worked with a foreman when I was a kid that LITERALLY kept everything and he would always say, “you never know when your going to need this” and I would say,” you would never know when I would throw this away”…..
Like hell all shops have furniture! 😂 our break room was a plywood sheet with 2x4s for legs and a couple stools!
You could've toured my uncle's concrete shop and found pretty much everything the same lmao. Too accurate
My dad's work bench looks exactly like that
"if you are lucky enough to have a yard out back , you probably got a graveyard of random shit " i never felt more offended, i need that shit , or might need them sometime to replace something or something
Omg ,so funny .Thanks for the laughter.
What about a couple of cats?
Mice can overrun a carpet warehouse and cause a lot of damage. A couple of good mousers are a must have.
I should call her!!!!! Lmao
The broken basketball goal got me I’m looking at that outside the shop in the metal graveyard right now…
4:18 I dead ass thought that bible was an Xbox 360.
Should be at least two microwaves in that break room.
Hahaha! I've worked in a few shops, this is so true! 🤣😂
things start to multiply if you are not careful I swear I go into the shop at the Ranch and there will be more furniture in there then last time I just burn it I do not like to see anything more then folding chairs and the roller tables that are cleaned off after a project if I find crap sitting on it for over 2 weeks it goes in the dumpster the wall benches are the worst they just breed crap like weird screws no one knows where they go to odd shaped wood pieces I just chuck all that crap I would rather go to town and buy something again that I threw out then to dig through trash finding the one thing I need. Someone once threw sockets into 5 gallon buckets that had everything from all different kinds of nails to weird fittings and brackets that fit nothing etc I just dumped the buckets into the metal recycle bin and went out and bought a new socket set in a locking box at the time it was $75 napa sockets I figure would I pay someone per hour to sort nuts nails and bolts when you can buy that crap by the pound and do something more productive. another thing that drives me nuts is people will cut off the end of a extension cord " in case they might need one down the road" next thing you know you have them hanging all over the peg board I toss all that crap even water hoses I throw them out instead of putting a end on it I have much better things to do..........and do not get me started on baby food jars full of cotter pins / used spark plugs how many %^&*(@ cotter pins does the average person need????? the take away is this if it is a used part and on a shelf throw it out if it was any good it would be on the machine.
The old blades on the wall, I ended up with so many of them, that I started cutting them into knives, turns out saw blades make decent knife blades...
Union Ironworker here.
We don't have "shops" but sometimes have shacks on site, especially in winter.
This is way too accurate.
Oh the graveyard of random sh** is a thing of beauty
You forgot the ancient clock that’s shaped like a saw blade and hasn’t worked since the 90s
The book of the mid-west chapter 3
I need to read that stat!
That DVD collection is a pre-vintage collection right now, don't let anyone laugh at you.
He’s the best
Nice touch with the jacket hanging where the fire extinguisher is or supposed to be
It's like you're in my shop lmao. Hilarious bro! Keep that. Might come in handy some day
Nailed it Myles
Umm I'm going to use the bathroom. 😂
Is your shop accepting applications? I'm really good at watching a boiler room while throwing back a cold one.
Shop is mint!
Forgot the beer fridge.
I had a feeling you would have super troopers on DVD
We had a basketball hoop, but fights broke out over gaming so took it down
I do concrete we have the big vibraters 🤣👍
2:00 should of had a seen with the door shut while saying “what a nice rack” then say you don’t know what magazine I’m looking at
Do you take the nudie mag out when tacklebox has to use the John? Gotta work his way up to it 😂
….. I need to call her..😂
I have a extension cord mess and the old saw blades. An that's just a 6x10 (or so) tin shed
Mine has an actual graveyard of deer which makes sent because its a heavy equipment store
So, so true!!!!
The "I should call her" line made me lose a good mouthful of coffee!
Yall hiring
You forgot the random kids toys that are strangely laying around even though none of the guys have kids
Yes!!! I love it when you do skits...I've been so bored with podcast
1:52
dude it's november
Ya! (From Brooklyn, NYC)
You forgot the safety eyewash station filled with cigarette butts and beer cans
The last machine shop I worked in was exactly like this. Down to the graveyard and basketball net out back
Ever have to re-buy anything you’ve thrown away?
Keep up the good work
“Work”
“Work”
What’s the differance
Not one Clinic Eastwood movie A? Hahaha.
MTV Cribs at its finest!
Bro I could chill with that shop
It was my job over the summer to organize that shot box of a shop
Does anyone know if this man actually works or worked construction? I'm sure he could go RUclips full time
His dad owns a concrete company and he works for him
shop bathroom with a Ridgid calendar? Do they still have those Ridgid calendars like the 1980's.....
Same in the UK bro lol
Any time you make a basket either tossing something into the trash or waste materials pile, you have to say "Kobe" in recognition.
We won the Miltona boat parade 2010 lol
place my dad used to work had a boat in the back lol like a legit boat with a roof and all sat there for like 10 years pro still there idk
Garbage bball, dogs playing pool, mismatched furniture, with the killer dvd selection. You guys hiring?
No dirty smudge about 3 feet above the top of the toilet? Must be a new bathroom :)
How about you come over to Australia for a season of Australia's Pub reviews 🙂Id be glad to guide
U should do a day in the life
I swear to God I thought this was a millwork shop I used to work at, full on knowing that it is not.
sweet
Forgot the rack of jackets that have been hanging up with some not being used in over 5 years.
Hey you s.o.b. next time you break in to my shop at least leave a short case construction workers and beer make the dream work
Unsure if its good or bad i easily have more dvds then all that some havnt been opened yet 🤣
What ya want for that van
See. #DeadBody Boots hanging out the truck bed. Rural like Australia, only some can live the dream one night-lady at a time.
