  • Wow, what an incredible experience being able to travel to the Yukon for the first time with my wife.     I've watched this video in its entirety four times, absolutely love it. The music, the cinematography, the commentary, and most importantly the people, Jay and Sam! At 20:00 there is sheer greatness of all of the above. This video shows us our amazing country and how fortunate we are! Should Jay have a million views on this? Darn right it should...

      No shit. His stuff is way better than guys who have 5x more subs or more. It’s so weird who gets exposure and who doesn’t. Don’t know if it just takes time or if people just get lucky or find the right niche?

      ​@@Lurtz14301 It's definitely time. In the grand scheme of things, Jay has not been doing stuff for his own channel for very long. At some point Jay is going to blow up big time. Growth on RUclips is exponential. The more people that share it out, the more people that share it out.

      I think it's because lots of people dont know about him and fishing youtubers with tons of subs are mostly americans and the subscribers are also americans who aren't interested in canadian fishing

      Reading the comments while waiting for the video to load, I've not yet watched the scene you're referring to here. So I did a double take, and had to think about it for a second, with your comment. Then I realized you meant strip the line and set the hook.

      @Mountains and Marshes: It's not just fly fishing jargon one has to watch out for but muskie fishing has its own verbal traps, such as Cowgirls, Showgirls, Tallywackers, Big Woodies, etc.
      I hope your fiancee understood you were talking fishing lures. lol

    SAM.... Please don't chance recycling that beautiful ring!
    Water, slime, and even just cold has COST many a DIAMOND RING! Get a band to wear, we use a silicon set that is amazing - it's also warmer and only a few bucks - lose it and laugh is better than lose it and want to die! LOL

    Hey jay I have a quick question . What’s the tracks you used for the slow mo Sam cam ?
    Dude your an amazing angler and it a huge goal of mine to fish with yah in Canada someday or if your in Colorado we can get some huge crappie and lake trout ! Cat fish pike and musky ! Anything you want wiper striped bass white bass colorado is a fun trip to make in the spring time !

    Absolutely amazing video shot in one of the most beautiful parts of the world! I also was fortunate enough to spend 10 weeks in The Yukon this fall working for an outfitter and I can’t wait to get back there!
    Lol interestingly enough, I started my adventure off that same floatplane dock with Alpine Aviation three days after you guys did.

    I have an absolute hilarious story about my time in Whitehorse Canada. Been through there a few times flying helicopters back and forth from Alaska and the lower 48. Would love to fish or get into the wilderness up there.

    I grew up on the lake in Watson lake back in the eighties and my memories of living at the lake with other families whose parents worked for the federal govt running and maintaining the local airport! And growing up and living up there was magical! Enjoy all the Yukon has to offer! Your gf doesn't realize what a gift she's receiving that beaver aircraft your flying in is one of the safest aircraft in the world!

    I was there in 1998 with Pete and Pat Fredericksen the builder and first owner of the lodge. He started it all and sold it to retire in about 2000. The grayling in the Wolf river were considerably bigger and so were the lakers in the lake. Glad I was there then. Pan fried grayling fillets in butter mmmm.

    Guy's that was insane I hope you have booked longer trips for filming. Ya'll are just relentless 4 days filming sleeping like 4 hours a night good thing you are young.
