Signs of life - introducing «Lost Tapes»:
Upon renovating our arctic chateau here in the desolate north, we came across an old sea chest containing an abundance of rare B-sides, exclusives - & even some previously unreleased tracks. We thought the only right thing would be to make these «hard-to-find» tracks available for those of you who prefer to stream music. So therefore we’ve created a playlist called «Lost Tapes». The Playlist will be updated as we go, make sure you subscribe. All obscure tracks will eventually see the light of day.
I was on a coast this morning, watching the sea and the view all by myself. I listened to this song for an hour. I lived the moment, thought about life and all stuff. It just felt so good. and i wanted to share it with you guys, just try it and u'll find the peace. Have a good day everyone.

It's just incredible to me that at the end of the day they were like "We really like this track but it's not quite good enough to fit it onto a record" and then stashed it away to be forgotten.
There are so many artists who have vaults of perfectly good recordings from previous years that they probably don't even remember ever recording after a decade or more goes by. We usually don't get to hear stuff like this until people start passing away and their estate finds this stuff and decides to make some money on it.
I'm glad that Royksopp themselves are able to appreciate the stuff they recorded a long time ago but wasn't quite what they were looking for on the album they were creating at the time, but now they want to give it to the world anyway. Their music always makes me so happy and I can already tell after listening to this particular track 3 times already, it's going to be a favorite.

Maybe it's copy-paste stuff, dunno, but still. Being kind and thoughtful can only be good. We feel lonely, hopeless and lost, some of us more than others, but we should know we gotta keep searching for the right ppl (for a more pleasant life on a personal level, at least, because majority of humans will probably stay unevolved for a long time, especially as few show true understanding and support), and never give up completely...
For a start, I hope we'll stay alive xD viruses, nature collapsing and its consequences, etc. make me truly pessimistic, but hey.
Dear Royksopp, you guys make some of the most positive sounding music I’ve heard. You helped me get through depression, break ups, and every time I hear vision one it brings me right back to my teens and gives me a rush of seretonin.
If I could be selfish, I’d ask you guys to make a new album and do another tour in America.

Oh Röyksopp, you did it again. I was just quietly sitting here (doing my budgets on a rainy autumn night!) - and then came this mesmerizing rhythm combined with the 'quirky' sounds exploring the stereo perspective making me sway along like seagrass in the fjords.
This song feels like a music of harmony consisting of many tones coming from an edge of paradise.
Please come back... Give us something to remember apart from corona these days...

i think this song unites slow and fast röyksopp in one song. i wish i could meett you once in my lifetime. you guys are genuis. not in this song but you use voice of nature in a brilliant way too. as your song is a part of that specific natural act or vice versa (for example 'rescue'). some classic compositions do the same, this is literally the modern times version of it. thanks röyksopp. thanks that i cant listen anything else on spotify lol
