Not a slipknot fanboy, I used to listen to them alot when I was an angsty middle schooler but they actually know how to play their instruments. Jim Root is an underrated soloist, dude really knows his stuff and his solo on "Psychosocial" really shows his skill at phrasing and melody. Their earlier stuff is meant to be deranged and unhinged, they had an idea, went with it and pulled it off. Iowa was just them being angry that they were from the Midwest and had all this rage built up whereas Vol 3 was them blurring the lines between Slipknot and Stone Sour
I’ve been a fairly casual Slipknot fan since HS (junior in college now) and yeah, this about sums it up. Jim is a really good guitarist when he has the room to shine, and some of the newer stuff really shows that (the opening riff on Nero Forte is excellent) and I dig Iowa more than I like the self-titled (unpopular opinion: the self-titled would be better if they cut like 1/4 to 1/2 the tracks.) but their latest album’s good. I’ve been really enjoying We Are Not Your Kind. Also, Corey is a very properly rated vocalist. He’s really good, and I think people recognize that, so he’s properly rated
>Iowa was them angry for being from Midwest This literally reads like one of those "hundreds of people every day suffer from being British" type memes lmao
Jim is properly rated. I love him, but there's nothing special about him nor any other member from Slipknot. Joey was the only outstanding member of the band and he doesn't even enter in a top 10 drummers of all time.
It annoys us Muse fans because the joke is overused. Muse and Radiohead haven't been comparable since Muse's 2nd album. But it definately still annoys some of us.
Right as I started watching I thought that "If Oingo Boingo is in this he's definitely going to call out the simps." I then was right and proceeded to send it to a bunch of people who got thoroughly upset so I guess you succeeded
ELO is what I refer to as a “dual personality” band. Out of all of their catalog, three records are all you’ll ever hear on radio and in movies. Meanwhile they have eight that are filled with variety, humor and kick ass Prog rock. You rank My Chemical Romance, Green Day and Eminem records, and you want to goof on these bands 😂
I know, ELO has a relatively small fan base compared to other musicians and bands today. I suggest he listen to the "Time" album. It has much variety, semi popular when it was released, and it is a concept album.

I always joke about that (because Danny is indeed attractive for his age) but people rlly think like that?
Oh, it's the internet. Why am I even shocked?
Thank you for taking such a brave and timely stance against Oingo Boingo fans. These maniacs must be stopped.
How dare you say something so true about the Ramones.
Honestly, i think the Poppy aspect of the Ramones is part of the appeal. People got so hung up on "pop punk destroying REAL punk" during the 2000's, that they forgot how poppy the original punks actually were.
There's something so cool about the Americana of the Ramones with their almost dowop chord progressions and catchy hooks
He didn't do AJR, because everything that could piss off the AJR fanbase has already been said by 90% of RUclips.
AJR: I could come up with a good one, but I bet you already did!
I kinda like AJR tho, but I do enjoy laughing at myself.
That twenty one pilots one was a personal attack
Yep people need to pay attention to Tyler’s lyrics and the lore coz Tyler and Josh go above and beyond. Non clikkies don’t get how big we are as a fan base and how seriously we take everything they do
@@halfalivebandit2535 this video was in good faith , but I do agree that there's waaay more clikkies out there than there seems
@@halfalivebandit2535FR, the clique is actually massive😭like I think I heard it’s the second biggest music-related group on discord overall (only thing bigger is rap/hip hop)
Wasn’t expecting Grateful Dead to be called out but a fan I’m happy you did
The Avenged one is sorta right. The monster energy personified is FFDP though
Genesis: Those Collins-era albums? They're actually pretty good.
bet this guy has an absolutely nasty sublime take
Man, I wanted a fitting roast for Muse. They haven't done anything Radiohead-ish in like 20 years, so it really doesn't land.
Muse is radiohead if Thom Yorke drank 5 monsters before recording
I'm a Ramones fan and I always thought that too, like, why everyone treat them as the most hardcore thing in the world? They being harmless is quite an appeal to me, just like with Donnas and Shonen Knife.
they’re like the beach boys of punk lmao, appeal’s most likely attributed to Johnny’s technique as well as Dee Dee’s and the lyricism. it was the style just not the hardcore approach that other bands would take later on
Because they’re the reason any punk scenes got going in America and were the biggest influence on hardcore
It’s ironic because those people complained about emo and pop punk
@@ryanshinermusic Eh, proto-punk and art punk acts like The Velvet Underground and The Stooges were also heavy influences on the American punk scene, and they were before The Ramones or the Sex Pistols
Damn, he went HARD on Oasis
Yeah bc Oasis suck
Led Zeppelin fans be: *imma pretend I didn’t see anything*
You really succeeded with this. Good job. I haven't felt this pissed in a while.
Ha! You need a better insult to piss off Muse fanbase, the band has already been called "campy Radiohead rip-off" for ages that uttering it will just generate minimal eye roll at best.
Agreed. I still need to think of a proper insult though. I've been to 2 major stadium gigs of Muse and it's the most embarrassing part of my musical past. And I've willingly went to a Linkin Park show, mind you
I feel like that is the insult. “Nobody cares enough about Muse to think up a new insult, so let’s just use the one they’ve heard since their first album”
@@ianbyrne465 well if you put it this way it's on par with underrated Bohemian Rapsody

ELO is supposed to sound like that but fair point. I'm still laughing about the zeplin one, and the Muse one made me smirk. Also I love how you said Bohemian underrated, nice touch 😂
Listen, I've found these funny and entertaining for ages, never vaguely upset before, but the moment Arcade fire was mentioned, I was ready to throw hands

LOL, the Oingo Boingo one is so accurate! I am a male fan, but for some reason, the fanbase is mostly women, and they really simp over Danny!
same thing with deftones
I really want to be upset at the Grateful Dead one but at the same time I can't exactly argue with it 🤣
OH MY GOD, I GOT A MONSTER ENERGY COMMERCIAL ON THIS VIDEO. I DON"T EVEN DRINK IT. GOD DAMMIT BILLY.
I like to think I don't get easily pissed off but oof that Slipknot one...
I know, that one cut deep
srsly
i thought it was funny cause i’ve heard so many people going on about the masks. the modern day kiss though… ehhh yeah that one kinda hurt but i’d like to think i don’t see it
That one really got under my skin
>Iowa was them angry for being from Midwest
This literally reads like one of those "hundreds of people every day suffer from being British" type memes lmao
Jim is properly rated. I love him, but there's nothing special about him nor any other member from Slipknot.
Joey was the only outstanding member of the band and he doesn't even enter in a top 10 drummers of all time.
@@TheGreatestDarn wait in about 10 years or so, joey will definitely enter a top 10 drummers of all time list

the Muse part was BRILLENT !
It annoys us Muse fans because the joke is overused. Muse and Radiohead haven't been comparable since Muse's 2nd album. But it definately still annoys some of us.
i think five finger death punch is a monster energy drink if it was personified
The Led Zeppelins tries to be Greta Van Fleet so hard
The arcade fire one didn't hurt me too personally just imploded a few of my braincells
Right as I started watching I thought that "If Oingo Boingo is in this he's definitely going to call out the simps." I then was right and proceeded to send it to a bunch of people who got thoroughly upset so I guess you succeeded
As a fellow oingo boingo enjoyer… that hurts
I absolutely loved this video, please make more!!!
Their first album especially is so weird and cool, they really fulfill the “orchestra” name there
@@AnnoyingOrange420 I think just about every song written by Jeff Lynne on that first album is good. I’m not a fan of any of the Roy Wood stuff besides 1st Movement.
These are always hilarious
Promised to piss off band's fandom and delivered it. A truly man of his word
What you said about Muse is actually really accurate. Even if i'm a big fan of that band i really just couldn't get through how precise your statement is.
Damn, was not expecting to see Oingo Boingo on this list...
Paramore: Their post-Farro music has much better songwriting than the first 3 albums
Journey: Steve Perry is the worst thing to happen to the band, moving them from soulful progressive rock to an ultra-commercial arena rock genre
As a paramore fan. Yes. Thats actually why im a fan now.
But I love Steve Perry😔
@Daniela Morera same
Nah the real way to piss off paramore fans is to make fun of the hiatus
Paramore's self-titled album is very much slept on.
This man critisising twenty one pilots while wearing a red beanie and with a uke in the background is ironic
I'm just glad oingo boingo was in this
The slipknot comment makes you sound like MGK
As an Oasis fan I gotta say, you did indeed achieve your goal
I like a lot of these bands but this is just brilliant 😂
"Bohemian Rhapsody is underrated" that actually hurts a great Queen fan.
Lol to oingo boingo reference is just a sad reality to a few
Monster energy personified is FFDP.
