There was a book that had a character who experienced nightmares during cryosleep. Now that would suck

cryo-genics should include preventing the body from generating hunger and other functions while they wait.

Somewhere in between could be a possibility; for arguments sake, you place the replicated intelligence and thought patterns of an astronaut into a prosthetic body. Human mind in a robot, travelling centuries. The body would take centuries to decay if maintained correctly. The unit can now travel for light years. However the question remains- what did we leave earth for?

Thought about that quite a bit, would be awesome, although I don't know that I'd be able to get used to not feeling anything, although they'd probably have artificial nerve type stuff, there is also the option of growing empty bodies, yes empty bodies, grown and preserved so if you're mortally injured or become disabled or grow old you could just, uoad your consciousness into the empty brain, assuming they figure out how to do so, I do music and I'd love to see what it becomes as time goes on, maybe a new style will emerge ill be even more passionate about, if it was possible I'd live to the end of time

Unfortunately you cannot freeze tissue without causing expansion, compression and tension leading to the eventuality of cellular death. You can preserve a piece of meat for 10,000 years but not a working circulatory system. Expansion of blood during the freezing process would destroy all internal systems. You also have to factor in total tissue atrophy and brain atrophy. The electrical synapses stop firing and brain death follows. Cryonics being successful in maintaining a living body is probably impossible.

Cells are organisms that carry every information and also act like parasites, cells are the major unit of life. but a genetic mutation or cells clone, like an alien hosting a human, it gains control of all its body. But the brains and cells are like a wired informative robot, that regulate all activity of life, how can it be manipulated, cells gives life but need room to feed and multiply, from a skinny nature of skeletal look, to the miraculous upgrading before eating,But is it slight hoped reality, but with human lays the trick every human programming, has a calculated amount of structures.

Traveling to a planet you only seen through an expensive piece of glass 10’s of thousands of light years away is perilous… I don’t think that fear of dying is a fear that anyone in these studies should have. It is a dangerous idea but one that can be very well worth it.

I'm I love with a girl much younger than me. We have a daughter together. Ultimately the age gap has led to our separation. If it were possible for me to go into cryogenic sleep for 20 years allowing us to be reacquainted when our ages were more compatible I would not hesitate to do it. I believe we are meant for each other. So hurry up and perfect the science.

lol, 20 years later? She could easily have been with someone else for those 20 years. How selfish are you, make her age 20 years so you can feel better? Also, she isn't going to be the same person you feel in love with...there will still be a 20 year gap.

50K is not that much money, I don't know why some people actually believe it is. If given time to sit down and calculate what 50k can do, one would realize, it's ok money, but you'd have to create something that would keep you generating money, because otherwise that 50K today wouldn't even last you 5 years.
