Please post an A to Z video for beginners on how to use Wealth Simple and Bitbuy so we can join both under your link. What success books are you and Simran currently reading? Keep up the great work Navjot and Simran 👍
Great Video Nav! If I may suggest, 1. It will be very beneficial for the audience if you can add video timeline/chapters. 2. You are heavily invested into Canadian market with same underlying stocks in VDY, XEI and XIC. ETF does spread your risk but again, all your eggs are in the same geographically located basket. My diversification are in these ETFs: XIC, VFV, VRE and VEE. My funda is similar to yours, automate it once and forget it. Thus, I have built an excel based calculator that helps me rebalance my 4 ETFs portfolio every month.
Old is gold kinda advice but we need to listen to teacher to understand. Thanks Nav. If possible plz do share tutorial on how to use wealth simple for Investing in TFSA. Thanks 😍🥰
Hey Nav, Thanks for the update. I have been investing in Canada via Wealth Simple, including a couple of stocks and 4 ETFs. The only question I have is, there is a 50% tax on our capital gains. Whether we use TFSA or RRSP. Still, the tax is applicable on our gains. Correct me, If I am wrong. Thanks for your response in advance.
Hi Potatotalkies.. was reading about holding VFV in wealthsimple Tfsa will attract 15% withholding US taxes right? Is it a good idea to have it in RRSP?
Yes, it will attract 15% withholding tax on gains, however you can claim a refund at the time of filing your taxes and you receive a tax refund. It’s cumbersome, but that’s the cost of diversification 😀 nothing wrong in doing it in RRSP too 👍
@@Potatotalkies Oh okay that will be charged when we redeem and not until we hold it. Are you sure. Because it gives dividend and that also gets taxed.
@@meghagupta4945 you cannot link TFSA with Wealthsimple - you can only link chequing account with WS TFSA account Do try to download WS first. You will know what to do there. It’s very well organized
Hey Navjot, you are right if we are not investing then we are losing money to inflation, and while I agree that one must invest in the country/ market they are living in, however, I would love to understand the avenues of investing in Indian markets as an NRI, as per my analysis Indian economy is most likely set to give higher returns on investment in the next decade than Canada. Can you please cover this topic? as there is very very limited information available on youtube and that makes me wonder how do NRI's invest in India or send money to India
The mortgage interest rates are going up. Do you still think that you made a wise decision buying real estate properties that too with variable interest rates. Does that put more pressure on your budget ?
Hi Navjot... Is it wise to bring your additional money above required levels to bring to Canada n invest vs keep in India n invest . Also invest your savings of Canada in Canada or send it back to India and invest there... N what can be those investment in India?
Great for new investors and just adding one more point Don’t bring the money out from investment if the Value of stock or crypto going down telling from my own experience and always keep some money in investment wallet for not losing the chance from buying a right investment at a good price.

100% right decision :)
It’s much cheaper to break a variable rate for refinance. And we bought for 10 years… can’t lose in 10 years :)
Do you have a video if renting or buying is better ?
Buying is better in the long run renting is better if income is low and if you’re planning to stay temporarily in Camada
Superb
