Something magical about being on the beach all to yourself, listening to the waves crash in ...

I love watching the waves coming in. My favorite time is in the evening. Everyone is usually gone and it is so relaxing to just sit there. I was so curious about the horseshoe crab shells everywhere I stopped the video and googled it. Interesting stuff.

Beautiful beach. Your video was so lovely to watch. I live virtually on the sea front but pebbles. Really relaxing.

Ah my second home. We camped at Cape Henlopen every chance we got as kids. So many wonderful times there. There are many deer in the park. Lots of wildlife. If you walk out on the pier in the park you might see some stingrays. Good crabbing in the summer. Lots of sand snakes back on the trails. The black Japanese pine trees were planted back in world war two era to hide the bunkers. They removed some of the pines because they are invasive. This is my go to place for peace and quiet. You need to go to Herring Point. Incredible view. Thanks for these videos.

That's the place that we go to 'the shore' from York County). Camping, nature, the Atlantic, the bay, the Fort! No hotel hi-rises. What's not to love?I like the town of Lewes, too!

Looks like a beautiful beach. Love all the shell and crab shells. I spent my childhood always going to the Bolivar Peninsula beaches in Texas since I lived in Beaumont. Thanks for the the video of your trek in the sand.

This was really nice and relaxing Cliff! You should check out the Lewes Delaware to Cape May New Jersey Ferry! You can put your vehicle on it, and sit back and enjoy!
I lived in SW Florida for 41 years, and practically grew up on the beaches there. Watching your video makes me a little homesick for the beach! 😊 I live in Southern Maryland now. Thumbs up! 👍

    Hey Cliff,
I think you would enjoy going to Sandy Hook, NJ. It has lots of wildlife, beaches among historic abandoned military housing and buildings. Awesome views of Manhattan Skyline on the ocean side on the hook. The oldest lighthouse on the east coast is on Sandy Hook. The beaches have lots of Prickly Pear Cactus scattered around. There's also a Holly Tree forest there as well. Very beautiful place. You can easily spend a day or two there exploring there. It's free to drive there after Labor Day. There's lots of neat historic places to go around Sandy Hook as well. You also have the Twin Lights that was built in the 1850s that looks right out to the ocean from the top of the hill right over by the bridge and Rocky Point Hartshorne Woods. There's a 75 year old abandoned military base that you can walk around on. New Jerseys got a lot of cool places that you would like. Keep doing what your doing.

So the horseshoe crab carcasses may just be their molts and not some super kill off of them. They are a critical species for migrating shore birds, their eggs provide food for the migration north. That egg case was a whelk egg case. What a great day you had to explore.

I could listen to the crashing waves all day. I enjoy feeding the seagulls on Lake Michigan. The locals don't like it, because of the large population of them that hang out.

Great video like always. You should do a video from Dead Horse Bay in Brooklyn, NY. It's an old dump from the 1800's to the 1940's or so and there's tons of old bottles and other various flotsam and jetsam that would make for a good video.

Hi Cliff, I feel very lucky where we live as we are literally about 3 minutes drive from 2 beaches and the countryside is right where we are which is awesome, we have a raised concrete platform at the top of our garden where we built a summerhouse so in the Summer we can sit outside with the table and chairs and watch the sea and in the Winter we can sit inside the summerhouse. Thank you for sharing, the sand looked really golden and clean.
