Great funk metal album. Extreme could have been one of the all time great funk metal bands along with Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine if they had stuck with that genre. Nuno was way too eclectic to do that though -- his entire career has been characterized by basically trying anything and everything. Kind of a shame for the fans of Pornograffitti, that it ended up being a one-off, but at least we'll always have that album.
just curious to know if you’ve gone past the pornograffitti album? if not, their follow up is called iii sides to every story. if you’re not into them, you may not like it, but to be honest, i think it’s one of the best albums from the early 90s that i’ve ever heard. i think it’s THEIR best work they’ve ever done, to this day. maybe give it a try if you haven’t yet. 😊
Wdym? Their great, it’s one thing not to like them but they are all pretty talented. Mike mangini was in their band at one point, great drummer, and nuno is fantastic. Gary Cherone is also immensely talented, his vocals weren’t too great in this one but they are just having fun.

They did a no-frills cover at Sneakers in San Antonio opening for Alice in Chains and it was Funky.
