You know homelander is kinda like Superman and Captain America. A symbol of Hope like Superman and representing America like Captain America. he was given a serum that gave him his abilities. Powers that make him like a god to everyone else. but with a alternate effect of what he became. he was giving compound v before he can make choices for himself and was raised by scientists in a lab instead of a family in a home. he could've been a real hero and a patriot If he had what they had. Family and a choice.
We’ve seen some pretty monstrous villains over the years. The Arrowverse’s Reverse-Flash, The Arrowverse’s Lex Luthor, The Shadowhunter’s Valentine and Jonathan Morgenstern, and Soldier Boy. But none of them compare to the might and ferocity of Homelander. He trumps all of them. Homelander is the king of villainy
Interested to know how many of you have read the comics and know how much of a watered down homelander he’s playing is? 🤣 he was a total psychopath in the comics compared to the show

Actually we love the character

And perhaps that's what makes him cruel. Knowing he's only human, but blessed with God like powers.
Honestly Homelander and Soldier Boy are the best villains on television right now.
