This was my local water for at least 20 years. My parents still live in the village (+/- 1km from the venue). A great water but a lot has changed the last decade due to the fact that the dredging has been far less then it used to be. The water used to be very murky, a proper bream water. But the dredging is significantly less the last decade, so, clearer water, more plants, and a lot less bream.. Good for diversity of species, but not so good for match anglers. Been a fan for years Jamie, maybe i will come and say hello tomorrow.
As a local angler myself I couldn't agree more. The odd bonus fish such as bream, big perch or even big asp has gotten way more important than several years back. And I know thanks to fishing the venue in various matches throughout the years that it can be a very tricky venue bait wise.
Great stuff Jamie, it really is amazing the detail you provide about the logistics and how the venue is so different in the sections...well done again.
I would think it must be like trying to understand how 5 different lakes are fishing because of the various peculiarity's relating to each section. Good luck with trying to make the master plan become the Gold winning one. Cheers Mate
