Increase in BHP doesn’t necessarily mean, fuel efficiency takes a hit. Engine will run smoother and less stress on engine which delivers better fuel economy. So Mohit travels owner should educate him selves .
I believe yes wheel base should have increased a bit that’s the only negative and as far as cylinder downsize goes I don’t think this will have any effect as now a days due to stricter emission norms companies are forced to explore this option of downsizing. Be it cars or commercial vehicles, it is an inevitable choice ones are forced to take , but thanks to turbocharging, trade off has become less.
As far as comparison with eicher goes, eicher engines lacks the initial pickup and grunt offered for AL, so they are better for plain roads and are not meant for twisties and ghat section .
