Dear Maria, thanks for that nice video! I am really convinced of the quality of these Leapwing Plug-Ins, it actually helps to give, especially virtual instruments, more depth and natural feel. I am also convinced, that the positive result can be seen by using the volume-compensation. Nearly all professional engineers you are trying to reach with your specialised plug-ins know about psychoacoustics and the effect of comparing sound with louder sound...unfortunately for many this is a trick to sell plug ins which does not really improve the sound. But that's my only point of criticism...for all the rest: Thumbs up! :)
I guess it's better to bypass using the green button in the plugin to avoid derailing DAW's internal delay compensation. I own Dynone but I haven't found time to read the manual :S
How come there is no auto gain? Is it fully resizeable? These plugin developers Are starting to get too greedy and lazy in providing their plugins with essential features, what about providing us with various skins on the plugins. It is ridiculous to have to pay a car note for a plugin without these features. Every plugin Imho should have these added features.
Hi there, we do have a fully resizeable UI. There is no auto gain, but there is an LUFS read out on the input and output (and a difference), so it's very easy to adjust the parameters to where your output LUFS matches the input.
@@leapwing Thanks for your reply. I rest my case. If you feel that there is no need for an auto gain feature and or Skins, then either I am the only one desiring these features, so I will accept your consensus that there is absolutely no reason to implement these features, Many producers and engineers most likely already have capable metering software, usually included in their Daw. Continuous bypassing and manually adjusting the volume which still results in a less accurate reading, is Imho Tedious and unnecessary, especially when more and more developers are including these features in their software. So, I guess that you win, I will not continue to debate this subject anymore, I concede. Good Luck to you and your profitable software company.
I actually agree about the plugin theme. Unless it has a completely benign color scheme, a company should consider providing an alternative. Just my less-than-humble opinion. The only time it's mandatory tho is if it's a white GUI, as that's murder for those of us who work in darker rooms. (I actually don't hate this color scheme, but I'm a Seahawks fan, sooo... XD ) Additionally, if they added Auto-Gain, there should still be an option for manual control. Some plugins give you a restricting one-or-the-other option.
Props for consciously lowering the output so as not to overhype what the plugin is doing with volume.
That's exactly what I thought. So many people don't gain stage so you can hear the TRUE difference!!

What a smile. She married?
Good demo! Take a 4-track arrangement and show how multi-band compression works You take a tight mix and compress. Hear what happens...
