If they made one for the color I would seriously consider picking it up. Idk if it would be possible to do a shell transfer for a BE, but if it was and they made one for that, I would for sure get one!

I really love how moddable the English virtual pets are, since they don't have the wired speakers. Wish ALL the virtual pets were like that.
the yellow buttons definitely give a veemon kind of theme to the digivice
I feel kind of like the fridge function was also made with working adults in mind, since they have less free time than kids.
But anyway, that shell looks amazing! Just I do agree with the other comments that it's also really expensive. >~
Seems like kids being in school is reason enough but they do seem to target nostalgia more than kids with the v pets
$160 is a lot!
Trust me, I've paid a lot more for much worse quality from Bandai themselves haha. This ain't for everyone but I highly recommend it for those who've always wanted a metal pet like me.

If more people get interested and do a preorder. I can reduce prices. Price is related to small batch volume.
I thought it was $60 and thought that was too much. When I realized it was $160, I had to be resuscitated.
This is purty neat. Maybe when the X-3 are released in America, I'll get a couple of these. Only thing is I wish there were some options available with the X painted on them.
Could probably make one with an artist brush and paint for metal. Wouldn't look exactly the same though
For that price it would have to include a built-in nuclear reactor that made a single battery life last longer than me so I never had to change it again.

These are so cool, but man that price tag. I totally get it and it seems worth it, but that turns it from an instant buy to something I will have to wait and think about for a while.
I hope they eventually branch out to make these for the Digimon Color as well. The color already costs so much that I would like to give it a more premium feel.

4 separate cnc machined parts with multiple opts on 2 of those plus anodized. 160 is an absolute steal a machine shot would charge closer to 500

I've seen these things lately, I want one but they're a bit expensive for me. Maybe if they come out with a green one, or they make ones with the X on the shell i'll splurge. But as of now I don't plan to run my DM20th much once the rest of the DMCs get here and I don't like the idea of putting an X device in a shell without the X on it.
I would absolutely buy one for my pendulum 20th. I may still buy one for my main "daily cary" DMX.
I hope this digimon v pet´s are still in production! and there will be coming more compatible versions and more originals

about your sentiment about these being a kids toy, i feel like theyre just toys. toys can be enjoyed by anyone and theres no shame in loving digimon vpets since its for everyone
I know the whole brick design is iconic and all but I kind of want to see something a bit more custom.
The buttons mostly stopped working on my 20th so I'm going to use this to help me safely take apart the 20th and clean the inside. Hope it goes well.
Edit: Do you think you could also do a screen repair guide for Digimon Vpets? I think that could help a lot of people.

Is the piece that sits on the prongs also aluminium if so that could cause connection issues. and thanks for pronouncing aluminium the right way XD.
Not sure of the specific material but I can confirm that I haven't had any issues with battles I've done so far
@@humulomon Yeah I did some research and found this: Aluminium is highly conductive by itself; however, the anodised layer has physical and chemical properties resembling a ceramic. One of the principal characteristics of ceramics is electrical insulation. So yeah that answer that question

Great video! sorry for my off topic question: I have a Pokedex toy (the old one, from 1999), and the buttons are super hard to be recognized. I opened it and didn't see nothing weird (buttons and connections looks identical to these buttons of the v-pet). Do you know why buttons get hard to press?
It looks nice! I’d probably buy one for $100, the same price as the Machined aluminum Slate GBA SP shells, but I wouldn’t pay that much more for a device that much smaller.
The thing with cnc machining. The cost isn't related to size of part. It's usually increasing as the parts get smaller. As you can't cut as much material per minute as with a big part!

it's ok, i've done it before too. at least it's not as bad as an original pendulum with all the pendulum parts.
it is kinda funny to me that the shell costs 8 times more than the device itself, but then, i put quite a bit into my wonderswan color between the new screen, the battery, etcetera
Looks pretty cool but im not a fan of the fact that one of the connection things on the top has a open hole, dust can build up alot quicker from there id imagine. And that price... ooof!
Just want to point out that using Paypal's pay-in-4 option is great for this. I got a blue one and instead of $160 up front I'll pay $46.25 (shipping included) every 2 weeks.

I saw that someone on the Discord got a messed up shell. Does the buyer do exchanges? The shell was pretty scuffed up on Discord; that’s the one thing im worried about. Especially for the price.

Yep! I have had no issues doing battles with other devices
They already made a vpet for adults.
Its called a flipper zero, it is a literal digivice capable of containing artificial intelligence, and it seemingly makes you cry.
Also i use it to cheat at every battle in both online and world that i play and theres nothing your digirom encryption or mod team can do about it.

Ehhh... If I had to pay that much for a metallic shell I'd rather get a sleeker custom look rather than the ugly default brickwork.
