Mother-in-law had the hookup at the Marriott from previous conferences. Marriage at 27 years and counting today.

The marriage license cost $29.95, and I filled the car with gas for $48.50 that day to go to the Justice of the Peace. Oh, and my wife cooked some delicious ribeye steaks that day, which cost $25.00. The total came to $103.45, and that was 26 years ago. I’m now able to provide my wife with the home she wanted, the car she desires, and vacations whenever she wishes to go. If you ask my wife today if she would change anything, she would say absolutely not. I love this woman more today than I ever thought possible.

I had a cousin who did something similar for her wedding by having the guest stay at this Jamaican resort they was getting married at. And only way you can get access to the wedding is if you booked a room at the resort through this “special” booking package and if you didn’t book that special package or stayed at another resort you would have to pay 200 dollars to get into the wedding. It was a clear finesse by my cousin and that resort.

Nothing wrong with it. 30 - 40 close friends, rent a private room at a restaurant and you can easily be at 4k, which is reasonable. That's what my husband and I did. Your guest list may be smaller. Women can want the extravagant wedding/reception, but when you and your fiance start counting costs, the list gets cut short quickly.😂

I had a cousin who did something similar for her wedding by having the guest stay at this Jamaican resort they was getting married at. And only way you can get access to the wedding is if you booked a room at the resort through this “special” booking package and if you didn’t book that special package or stayed at another resort you would have to pay 200 dollars to get into the wedding. It was a clear finesse by my cousin and that resort.
