Good for you buddy. Don’t need an excuse for taking care of ur stuff man. Just means you work for what you have and take care of ur stuff. Nothing wrong with that. I have a pair of Bison forefronts 6”. They are comfortable. At first I was very nervous and kinda skeptical. They are heavy in comparison to probably any other boot. They wear so nicely. I wore them to a fair one day in my area, n it was rainy, crappy, muddy, and there is a lot of walking. I think that’s the day they truly started fitting my foot. They are fantastic. You’re right, it’s a place you can call, n actually talk to someone knowledgeable about boots. Customer service is top notch and they care about their customers. Also, if u ever get these (not u but anyone else reading that may not know) you can easily get them resoled in a different sole to both change the look a little bit and the use. Point is, this is an excellent brand. With an excellent reputation for a reason. There will always be a handful of bad experiences with any custom footwear company in particular an expensive boot. You can mitigate any risk of return by watching many videos that were carefully created by JK to help and also calling. Obv if you lived in the area is a best case scenario but clearly most of their customers do not.
Clean your tools, nothing wrong with that mentality and habit. Also most people strike on the outer edge of the heal. As you step forward, especially on longer strides, you naturally bring your foot slightly towards center for balance.
I have the bison super dutys I do residential HVAC also I believe we chatted on the JK facebook group! Glad they are doing good for you! Mine are doing well also so comfortable for those 13+ hour long days
Thanks for thr review. Appreciate your experience with various other boots (nicks etc). I own a pair of Nicks actually 3 pair (6 inchurban loggers, 10 inch work boot with 55 last; and 8 inch roberts. Roberts are my favorite pair thus far due to the lighter weight feel). But wanting to get a lighter version of the boots and looking for a wedge sole that has arch support. You have completly sold me on the JK from you review.
I have the Super Duties. Jk nailed my size right from the jump without measuring my feet. I wear 10.5d in Iron Rangers 11 or 11.5 Thorogoods in Jk’s 9.5 eeee and they’re the best fitting boot I ever owned. The leather really does mold to your foot which was weird at first because I’m used to a structured toe box.
@@HVACOGI saw you are selling these on eBay due to fit. I need to list my Overlanders and Whites C350’s. I’ve accepted both are too tight. The half size down suggestion these companies make doesn’t always work.
I'm looking to do a pair of Forefronts in black bison in a blackout style (hooks/eyes and sole) but wasn't completely sure how they'd look with the toe cap...now I know it looks sharp. They're going to run more than my Nick's tacticals but eh, whatever. Was lucky to get a pair of 300Xs while they were in stock, so I can wait for these.
Thanks for this video because, as other said, it's nice that you compare other brands. I have a question about that type of sole in general.....are they slippery in the rain and on wet pavement? I ride motorcycles, and as much as I love the looks of that sole and am willing to pay for the JK customization options, I have to have nonslip soles. Thanks again, man.
@HVACOG I'm a commercial electrician and do anything from running conduit in a ditch to finish install in an office building and im looking for that kind of do it all boot. However im torn between this forefront in bison or the OT in bison with composite toes. I've seen people claiming they have needed a resole as early as 5 months.

That bison leather is incredible. Changed my mind and now im going with it for my order after seeing this review!
I’m happy to have helped you. Don’t be in a rush to oil it. Break it in then oil it.

I think it’s normal that the outer side of heel wears earlier. I heard somewhere that’s caused by usual heel strike when walking.
Makes sense

@@EDHBlvd I know. I’m 11.5-12 reg shoes
11 E nicks. But they’re sending me another 10.5e same exact.
@@EDHBlvd these got too wide tbh. 3e. Idk how it did that on the old sizing chart they had
@@HVACOGyou need to buy my 11E Overlanders. Haha!
Ya I’ve heard JK sizing is arbitrary. You can’t compare it to Nicks/Whites/Franks.
Would get more hits if you included JK Boots in the title.

Which ones have the most arch support?
I really like the JK bison, it looks very soft yet tough.
Whites CS
These however are nice mix between. I recommend forefronts
Would you still recommend these boots?
