The Netherlands Armed Forces are the military forces of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The armed forces consist of four service branches: the Royal Netherlands Navy, the Royal Netherlands Army, the Royal Netherlands Air Force and the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. The service branches are supplemented by various joint support organizations. In addition, local conscript forces exist on the Dutch Caribbean islands of Aruba and Curaçao. These operate under the auspices of the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Netherlands Marine Corps. The armed forces are part of the Ministry of Defence.
Supreme command of the armed forces is determined in Article 97 of the constitution, which states "The Government shall have supreme authority over the armed forces". service members swear allegiance to the King in his role as head of state.
The military ranks of the Netherlands armed forces are similar to those of fellow NATO member states and were established by Royal Decree. The highest-ranking officer in the Dutch military is the Chief of Defence, who is a four-star officer (NATO OF-9).
After initial cooperation with the German army in 1995 through a Münster-located corps and increasing cross-linking during the following decades, all three Royal Netherlands Army combat brigades have fully integrated into German divisions as of March 2023.

Love Netherlands from the United States of America 🇺🇸❤🇳🇱
you guys are our greatest allie💪 fun fact, an a airbase pretty close to where I live they store a shitton of your nukes😂also a lot of our forces train in the UsA
Been there twice, it’s a beautiful country. The Dutch should be proud.
@@brianvanhedel God bless both our countries, y’all have a beautiful country. The best pancake I ever had was on a boat in Amsterdam.
@elekoto3485 if you ever go to the Netherlands again you should go to a snackbar and try a Frikandel, unless you are muslim or hindoe.
@elekoto3485 country is great, government is shit tho, but I know it is the same in the US
Thanks alot for the vid
The Netherlands currently leases 18 tanks from Germany and is also under German command. Until the millennium, the Netherlands had approximately 900 2A6 Leopard tanks. But in the end they were never used and were only parked in the garages. The tanks were also not suitable for missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Netherlands then sold all tanks.
We had 445 Leopard 2 to replace the Centurion and AMX-13.
Together with the 468 Leopard 1 we already had the total number was 913 MBT's.
So... I have an idea now how you came with the 900 number...
Wat hadden we toch een mooie krijgsmacht en legerbasissen in Duitsland. Dankzij de afgelopen 5 defensie minister's compleet naar de kloten geholpen.
Give them almost for free away.
@@dorusportugal3678 We🇳🇱 always do that: make sure they are in perfect condition and than suddenly sell off for silly prices.
@@CarLos-yi7neand it was the A4 not the A6 so he never served a day or he would have known this. Just parroting another blogger or something someone else said in his interpretation.
Great Job as usual.
Thanks a lot !!!
I expect the Dutch army to invest more in equipment and modernize in the coming years due to the tensions with Russia.
Nice video well done!
notice: the dutch have 20 rocketartillery puls-systems not 2
Pls next Netherlands ow wait... Impressive army, dankuwel !
😃
Thank you
Make a Brazil review please!
The dutch military is working on replacing on some old vehicles. The puls anti air systems are gonna become more. And the mercedes benz and luchtmobiel special voertuig are gonna be replaced if im correct. The green ship isnt a navy ship its from the dutch tax authority. and the one before that i believe also isnt a navy ship. The bmw X1 is normal police. ANd the dog handler van was an uk police van so much miss information. The coastguard isnt technicly military its an indepentent civil oranization it only uses some of our help to arange the radio traffic.
Pls do tunisia in the future 🥺
Pls army of philippine for the nexf video
we dont own many tanks, but our tank battelions are merched with the germans.
Pls army Bulgaria 🙏
Pls Malaysian army
Malaysia got pretty boring assets and equipments compare to others. As a Malaysian, it’s sad to see our military matters taken lightly. Should wait next 4 or 5 years. New assets coming
the royal dutch army does not have any main battle tanks we are training with rental german tanks the last tank bataljon was the 42 tank bataljon my grampa helped making that bataljon
Zoek maar eens op 414 tankbataljon 😊
0:25 That's not right, they are not from the Netherlands, we lease them from Germany
Nice
Plis army of El Salvador :3
Please do Georgia 🇬🇪
the f16s are all going out of service, unless they changed there mind but I dont think they have
I rarely see them train anymore with them. They usually train with F35s now where I live (Near Leeuwarden airbase) and they train alot lately.
We have a little number of them still but believe most tasks are done by f35. but this whole video is a mess showing parts that arent military and even some vehicles from different countries.
Is this up to date ?
I am not sure.......
They are replacing some stuff like licht vehicles and also antiair i know like 90% sure its incorrect or gonna be incorrect.
Ireland next please ❤️🥺❤️
this country has most definitely need for other stuff instead of war toys.
Pls Slovakia army

Why don't you call it the Dutch Armed Forces?
Omdat ze vroeger DAF reden. 😂
Because we still have king/are partially a monarchie. Almost all countries who still are in some form a monarchie call their army 'Royal'
@@proman9849 I wasn't talking about the Royal part in the name, I only find it it strange to use Netherlands instead of Dutch. As I think when you reference the country you use The Netherlands, but if you want to refer the people you can use Dutch for that.
Wait, when did we order additional boxers? And alsoo if i am correct we have 20 puls systems, not 2 if i am correct and the daf YA series are being phased/ are already phased out

And now they also have some bullets! A while ago they had to yell “bang bang” when doing exercises 😂. True story !
Don't be stupid.
@@Emdee5632 it’s true , you can find videos of it….
The Dutch army has existed for centuries and fought in several wars. During the German invasion in 1940 it scr*wed Germanys time table trying to get through the country and the Germans threatened to bomb major cities. So there was no lack of bullets.
However.... in general we Dutch don't like to spend much on our armed forces. I guess during exercises you might want to shout BANG instead. But of course it's NOT that the army never had bullets. That is silly. Care about providing a link or two to the videos you claim exist? Then I can have a laugh too? Thank you! I hope the Koninklijke Landmacht gets better funding and fast too, because in the east, a big bear is showing its hatred for western Europe more and more...
@@Emdee5632 I never said they hadn’t have bullets during WW2.
Other funny fact, during WW2 there was a mission to capture the queen but she ran so fast out of the country, even German elite paratroopers couldn’t catch her 😂😂. That’s how cowardly she was! (And a drug addict to but that has nothing to do with it)
And it was the use of water that stopped the Germans, not fighting skills or so.
I’ll look now if I can find some no bullets videos for you !
Wrongggg
No.
Putin is just laughing of this 💩😂😂
We are laughing at Putin
Does Putin fully control Eastern Ukraine or does he still needs years of fighting with his crappy army? Remember that Ukraine can hold out with the best training and weapons from the Netherlands.
2 year and no victorie , who is laughing 😂
Putin laughs like a farmer with a toothache. Why can,t his powerful army keep control of a small area east of Ukraine? Thanks to our weapons, training and expertice that we offer to the Ukranian army.
