This is partly because KLM and Embraers are good partners. KLM has the largest fleet of Embraers in Europe. Embraers also has its European headquarters in Amsterdam.

The Dutch also decided in 2022 that they buy 6 additional F35A's and 4 additional MQ-9 Reaper drones
they are already in service thats why not included
@@ArmedForcesZone not all of them, currently they are deployed, not all of them in the Carribean. 4 more are ordered and at the end it will be 8 in total.

The intended ASW frigates will have a displacement of 6500 tons. Not 5500 tons.

Uhm no. We are not thinking about it. Thales designed the Goalkeeper ciws and delivered it to our navy in 1975 and it's a dutch company. The goalkeeper ciws is like a phalanx 20 mm ciws on steroids. We put in the gau-8 avenger 30mm from an A-10 hog. That one that goes brrrrrrrrt yes. Modified it for like 4200 rounds per minute and multiple guns working together in a system. We've been involved in development of weapons, manufacturing of parts for airplanes for decades bro.
4 new submarines and 4 new fregats are ordered too.

It will even our F-16 MLU are heading there once the US grants us export permission. The AIM-9 that are at the end of service/shelf life will be sent to Germany to be refit as IRIS-T missile. I am not sure about the other KL systems, being in the KLu, but the 81 mm mortar systems will be sent in several batches after an overhaul.
Well, onze teouwe 4 en 10(?) Tonners zijn al die kant op gegaan en ze weten er wel raad mee kan ik je zeggen😉 en uiteraard ook onze ypr-765, en onze fenneks idem dito (daarnaast zie ik het ook bog gebeuren dat een dozijn of 2 van onze cv90's gestuurd gaan worden)
@@BKrol-dr4gi wat bedoelt u met 4 en 10 tonners. ook gaan ze niet onze eigen cv90 naar ukraine sturen wel gaan ze 180 cv90 in nederland maken om ze naar ukraine te sturen
@@marijnnn4992 de 4 en 10 tonners staan bekend als onze daf trucks de 4x4 (4 tonner) en 6x6 (10 tonner) als in het gewicht wat ze kunnen dragen, en correct, maar die info was een jaar geleden nog niet bekend en het zou zeer mogelijk kunnen zijn dat we alsnog een deel van onze "verouderde" versies zouden kunnen sturen om de slagkracht van de oekraïners nu al te vergroten omdat wij nu toch naar de MLU gaan en niet eens alle worden ge-update naar de mlu versie zo doende zegmaar,

Why no more new tanks? Are we really serious in leasing from Germany? The problem in Holland is that they don't want to spend on defense. They just have to because of Nato.
Tanks in a riverdelta? Not very wise
German and Dutch Tankdivisions are about to be one, goes for probably all land forces in the near future.
I personally prefer to have a few elements really well armed (for our size) then half ass many things. We are not exactly a large nation... i think NATO would benefit better from well equiped elements then a tank element that is way smaller then for example a french, usa, german, english, etc unit.

@@Redisia Why do you think there is difference in unit size between NATO members when it's all pretty much standardized ( company of 14 tanks, battalion consists of two companies and their IFV mounted escort, or a mechanized battalion with a single tank company and two IFV companies )?

Plans……if in politic labour and green are in power, I know what will happen. And beside that, all the equipment, if ordered in time, delivered between 2022 and 2037. So they don’t have any hurry.
The primary budget cutters are the VVD aka the right (party of the corperate owners) they where rather stingy on defence up untill the ukraine war.
Labour and Green (And many others) are historically less stingy
