    I'm a 16 yr old sterile tech. And I'm gonna tell you that you loaded the Autoclave wrong you aren't supposed to overlap the pouches is interferes with the steam flow and insufficiently sterilizes the instruments

      @KourtneeNicole  8 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve been to several different trainings on sterilization and they all say different things, but thank you for the advice

      @@KourtneeNicole I understand my experience is wimpy compared to yours, I'm not telling you you suck at your job I don't have any room to speak. BUT they made me annotate the Autoclave manual

      I have been a dental assistant for 26 years. I love it!!! I have worked from coast to coast. It’s an excellent way to start to see if you like it. Dental assistants don’t have to be each state licensed. Hygiene you have more requirements. Each a very rewarding career. There’s some offices that have dental assistant in training positions. Might ask to shadow in your regular dental office that you go to now. Good luck!

      Dental hygiene is very competetive i know someone im in class with now that applied to Hygiene school with a 4.0 gpa and still wasnt accepted the schooling is very hard and they will drop you in a heartbeat

    I’m about to go to school for dental assistant. But I hear a lot of horror stories of DA being treated poorly and people not enjoying the work. Is it very physically demanding ? I am planning to study to become a RDH but I want to make sure this is the career path for me. I’m 35 and after my divorce I’m looking to change career but Im also a bit scared and worried I might be making a mistake. ( I’m a biology undergraduate that didn’t finish and at my age is not looking to finish that bachelors degree and then a masters just to get into the workforce)

    • @KourtneeNicole
      @KourtneeNicole  3 месяца назад

      Honestly you should just go for RDH it’s not super physical and there’s more of a demand for that it seems like you have most of if not all of your schooling you only need a associates degree
