Unique it is…. However, my family and I just returned from a 5 day Iceland break, we visited Blue Lagoon on Friday, I was feeling Ill on Saturday and so stayed in bed at the hotel for what should’ve been our final day. Returning to UK on Sunday I started to get progressively worse…. Chest infection, both ears infected, dizziness…. I went to the doctors on Monday and am now spending my time in bed as I try and rid myself of this bug. Don’t be swayed by the tourist drive for this place. Spectacular as it appears, you were treading on discarded drinks cups in the water, also remember, the water isn’t chlorinated!!!! I got very unlucky and picked up a strong bug that ruined my experience of Iceland. I cannot say that I have any interest in returning to that barren hell again….. think long and hard before you book a holiday there - weather changes at a moment’s notice, bloody cold, and above all, the cost of EVERYTHING is eye watering…..
hi moeyday, i booked online for 2pm this coming Tuesday Sept 13, 2022 . Thank you for your video its good to understand things before i go. Keep posting other places you visited in Iceland so new people like me can know more!! 😊
i hope you enjoyed your trip! thank you so much for this feedback, i have a lot of other information about other places in iceland too, so i will upload them as well. i appreciate you watching and commenting!
I hate the word tourist trap…. Also why do tourist hate other tourist so much ….there’s only one earth…yes we have to share (we are all tourists)…..thanks for a great informative video!
thank you so much for watching and commenting, the feedback is always so helpful! and I agree, we have to share the earth and respect one another, hopefully as mindful and respectful travelers. sometimes "tourists" have a bad image because they do not honor the culture in new places, which is very disrespectful, but I agree, it has nothing to do with the word tourist trap lol
I have been before. Yes it's a tourist trap but it was still an amazing experience. Its also a large lagoon so I didn't really have a problem with the amount of people there.
Hi Moeyday!! It's a very commendable Tourist Spot!! I paid respect to Leifr Eiriksson on the morning of my jogging. I ate their fermented shark I had it on videos, their brennivin, their Ulfur beer and many many more food!! I ate teh famous hotdog sandwich I also had it on videos. Viking Food!! I also went to their Blue Lagoon, got the facials hahahaha it's funny because the lagoon is pretty warm and when you rinse your face you got to use the very cold water. I also saw and use the wall clock to have the correct timing of each of the facial treatment. I went to the SKOGAFOSS falls, I took the trail to the top of the hill with out resting!! Yes! I prepared for that trip. I stayed in the gym for months before my flight. I removed my HOKA shoes and socks, as I promised to my friends I walked bare foot to the center of the creek feeling the sharp little stones and volcanic sand to complete my excitement and of course to signify that what is happening are real and not dreams. I had lunch at their nearby Skogafoss Hotel Restaurant viewing the falls as I chew my meal hahaha. I travel alone. Stopped in every beautiful view on the way to the falls to take photo and video and sent it around the globe to my friends who are deeply excited of my travel to Iceland. I also saw the Northern Lights on my last night near the Church. The place is of Top Caliber destination. You'll feel you are traveling in a different planet if not different world. Definitely I will be back and aim to stay more days to visit the Arctic Henge. Thank you so much Moeyday for your info before my trip. Keep me posted of your many joyful travels!! Stay safe.
wow your trip sounds so nice! i want to see the northern lights near the church now, it sounds magical! i appreciate you watching and commenting, and i am glad that you found this video helpful! I will be posting a lot more about future travels soon, hope you will continue watching :)
@@moeyday Yes! I enjoyed each day of my journey... my finale is walking barefooted on the water streaming from the SKOGAFOSS falls to the creek ....travelling is the best way to learn other cultures....I'll check on your other travels!! 🙂
I don’t recall it being required but I’m sure it would be a nice courtesy. There’s plenty of English signs tho so if it was required it should be fairly clear!

Can I ask which month did you go? I plan to go this month but I think if I go early, it will still be pitch black
I went in April! The daylight hours are less but there will still be daylight hours for sure!
Are the lockers big enough for luggage?
Someone else commented saying yes
Will my feet be fine if I dont use slippers in the Lagoon?
yes, i didn't have slippers!
Are you required to wash your hair in the shower before entering? Or can you just bun it up and wash only your body?
I don’t recall it being required but I’m sure it would be a nice courtesy. There’s plenty of English signs tho so if it was required it should be fairly clear!
Can you store your suitcase in the lockers provided?
