People in this section are extremely critical of Sonos. I own the Ultimate immersive set and am pleased with it. My main goal was wireless and sleekness. I'm sure there are better performance options for the money, but I didn't find any as aesthetically pleasing, wireless(rears), and easy to set up.

Got into the Sonos system for Home theater experience. It's solid, but it's clear they're a music first company.

I replaced my Nakamichi 7.2.4 with the Arc, dual Gen 3 subs, and Five as rear surrounds. I like the flexibility of Sonos to mix/match speakers to you budget, listening environment, and mix of audio/streaming content. Love the option to upgrade and repurpose speakers for years to come.

I guess the negative comments here are from folks who don’t use Sonos. The recent Sonos sale was a good opportunity to acquire flagship products for very competitive prices.
Ty has reviewed Sonos for more than a decade, so read up, trolls. He’s not a Sonos shill.

DO NOT BUY- Good sound quality but difficult set up and connectivity issues. Wort thing is that after a couple of months the speakers will not connect to the app and you have to use the app to listen to any music. Just trashed over $1k in speakers and customer service did not respond for months after the 5 speakers I had bought had been in the landfill. Buy anything else that connects directly with Bluetooth.

Tried a demo set of Era 100 at an upscale dept store in SG and the sound is really unimpressive. Bass is almost non-existent like their Play 1s. So its totally not applicable in a TV/movie setup. For music, any genre tats bass dependent like dance, hip hop or electronic, even pop will sound lackluster. Plus at S$429 its way too overpriced to its competitors. I'm going to stick to my HK Omni 10 tat sound way better and looks great too. Additionally, the reviews from other RUclipsrs of the sound latency and inconsistent performance is a big no-no.

Too much money for products that Sonos will stop supporting and may even brick in the future

Are you still using your RAZR flip phone, pager, VCR player, Windows XP, cassette tape deck, and 4:3 picture tube TV. Why was it A-OK to purchase those things and not Sonos?

CNET is basically a giant commercial nowadays. Zero of these are good for home use.

Remember when the best speakers you could buy were HUGE.....now something the size of a coke can is better.

Stay away from the ray at all costs

I have the Beam and Arc systems and they have been perfect. I haven't tried the Ray. I had few issues with my two Sonos Roam and that can be hit-or-miss depending on software version (not waking up in sleep mode, unable to pair bluetooth, losing bluetooth pair, dropping off sonos ecosystem, etc...).

Same, especially with the roam, particularly with airplay
